I love boxing. Always have, always will.

However, what i love about it is strictly the sport itself and the gym-culture (and yes, even the fan culture lol).

The business of boxing makes me completely sick to my stomach. Tell me, at times like these, don't you just wanna grab one of these corporate-promotional-company-asswhipes by the throat, throw them to the floor and take a major league dump on their fake, smiling, double-talking faces? I know i do.

And i'm not even saying that Mayweather-Pacquiao might not still happen, not even that it might not still happen on March 13. But just the fact that they're playing all these mind-games and dragging the whole thing out, it's just so frustrating, so much so that it almost makes me and many others forget about all of the excellent match-ups that HAVE been happening lately, and are still scheduled to happen in the near future.

If you're a football-fan, basketball-fan, tennis-fan or fan of basically any sport but boxing, you're pretty much guaranteed that you'll see the best players or teams square off against eachother on a regular basis. But as boxing fans, i guess that's just not what we sign up for, huh?

Small wonder that people turn away from the sport.

Add to that the bad judges scorecards, crap undercards and lack of any exciting fights at heavyweight and it sometimes makes you wonder if it's worth it.

tbh the sport is shooting itself in the foot by associating itself with steroids and ped's. This talk is bad for the sport bottom line.

Yeah, I agree...I wish they'd put all this bull**** aside and fight. This fight means so much and will do so much for boxing. There is no reason why this fight shouldn't happen.

mayweather pacquiao wasn´t going to be an exciting fight anyway... A boring easy decision for mayweather !! It is a shame Arum is looking to Mallignagi.. I wanna see pacquiao Marquez III so badly!!!!

And let Mayweather fight the real welters.. Mosley Berto winner please!! or even cotto or clottey... And how about moving up to fight williams or Pavlik?

You clear that up by testing. But allowing fighters to go unchecked is horrible. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. The problem to me comes down to money. The Commisions are scared to demand the testing because if a fighter is dirty they will simply go to a state that doesnt, in turn causing that state to lose the money that the fight would have brought in. Remember these are appointed position by the Governers of each state.

Of the three Major sports here Basketball is the least effected by steroids and its the one that has had the longest history of demanding drug tests. Started back in 1986 with the death of Len Bias. They test players from the time they enter the draft to the time they retire.

It would be great talks if the biggest fight wasnt ****ed off because of it. If not for Arums own agenda it could have been kept on the down low, much like it was with Shane and Judah. However over all its a good thing. Change is needed, and like the case with most change people will try to stop it untile something bad happens.

Even with testing. If Pac takes the tests and looks bad against Floyd then the rest of his career comes into question over PED's. Even if he has never taken them.

the business makes me sick. The fans use to be the best until these kids come along online pretending to be apart of the business. The fans are killing boxing and the internet is there gun.

Stay out the politics if you not getting a dime from these men, dont show them affection and defend them like a wife. Demand those rich sonofabitches get in the ring and prove to us that there worth our got damn 59.99

That is a good point, but he would have gone though the testing and proved he was clean. I dont think that people would actaully hold a lost to Floyd against Pac all that much. He already has some built in excuses. But I think this is a fear that alot of Pac fans have, much in the way that Margo getting dominated by Shane made everyone wonder if he had always been using little bricks in his fights. Should Pac lose badly to Floyd then people will say well Manny cheated his whole career. But to be honest the fighters shouldnt be in that position because the boxing powers should have taken care of that along time ago, or at least after Shane admitted that he was on **** and didnt get caught.

You don't get 'fans' turn away from boxing. If you enjoy it, you'll watch it, it's as simple as that. Its a myth that people 'walk' away from boxing.
