Look at the house he has to mantain, it was recently threatened with foreclosure so maybe thats why his choose to fight Valuev instead of his lame excuse of wanting to be champion again.

Why does any reasonable person need something that must be clearly above his needs? It's just weird...having room after room of nothing. Eery.

Maybe he wants his grandchildren to make a killing out of renting it out when he dies!

Dude has nine kids with like seven different women - it's a classic case of excess and financial irresposnsibility. This is sad - Evander will be brain dead by age 60 - guaranteed. I'm not wishing this on him by any means, that's just where he's headed - bankrupt and brain dead..........Very sad.

I do not understand it either. This mansion has over 100 rooms (reports are from 104 to 109), which is IMHO insane.

Even if he wants to be prepared that (for example) every of his 12 children would like to visit him at the same time, and each of them needs separate bathroom) it still would be few times more than enough.

I can totally understand why he wanted it in the first place...it's a status symbol, like those guys that buy big cars.

But it's been an albatross around his neck for years now, and he's too proud to downsize.

It is...he's owned it since late 1994.

You open a cupboard, and three more fall out.

The man made earnings of over $200 Million dollars in his career, and that's just in actual fights. Not even including endorsements, books, etc. I love the guy, but if he's broke its his fault.
