Cotto beat the lineal middleweight champion and if he stays at 160 he should fight Golovkin as he is the accepted number 1 in the division. If he's staying in the division and wants to fight the best then the best is the God of War.

If this was a one time thing and he's going back to 154 fair enough he's accomplished a major feat in becoming a 4 weight world champion.

Finally Golovkin is a middleweight so he doesn't have to go up to prove himself at a weight he's not fought at.

Because as someone noted earlier in the thread - the professionals whos jobs are to objectively evaluate matches and opponents are high on the guy.

Forget the internet for a second, when guys like DiBella, Hearn, Peltz, Shields and so forth are classifying GGG as a monster there is plenty of justification for fans to do so as well.
