Interbox/GYM will be announcing who his new trainer (Garcia, Roach or Diaz) is early September.

Bute says he wants to "prove the doubters wrong". Yeah well, I went to see your ass get KTFO in Nottingham, I'm a doubter alright now.

He'll probably get a soft touch in a non-televised fight. Then he might gun for a Pascal rematch, which will get Pascal his Stevenson fight late 2015.

He's done I think, but part of me thinks a new trainer -who's not his personal friend like Larouche was- could re-ignite the fire. Let's see.

Let's hope Bute can at least rebound somewhat.

He's had lots of time to think about how he only showed up in round 12 of BOTH the Grachev and Pascal fights, maybe a new trainer can figure it out and kickstart his brains again. This could only be good for the SMW or LHW div, whatever he chooses to compete in.

Happens when you were never really a draw and taken a few losses.

Well, it would be nice to see Bute regain some semblance of a top notch fighter, but, I believe he is done.

Building him up a little bit again to be fed to Stevenson?

    I care!

Still a fan, and I still believe he was one of the better SMW's at time of the Super6.
Froch did indeed ruin him, as people could see in the Gragev and Pascal fights. He fights scared, and would probably have soundly beaten Pascal if he just had opened up earlier in the fight.

Maybe the last 2 rounds against Pascal gave him the courage back he's lacking since the deer in headlights performance against Carl 2 years back, and he can get back on the horse.

My guess is an unranked fighter, then Pascal II. Pascal wins, meets Stevenson in Fall 2015.

This is an example of when I said a loss can affect a fighter and take an undefeated fighters confidence.
Before Bute lost to Froch, I would have favoured him against Ward, as Ward didnt seem to eager to face Bute and I think that version of Bute would have won.
Now After the loss, Bute just hasnt seemed the same.
I always felt Bute was a bit nervous of what could get thrown back at him and was very good at avoiding big shots, but he seemed very cautious against Pascal and I got the impression that going the distance was a victory of sorts.
Bute was better than many give credit for, and beat several top 10 rated fighters, but I am not sure he will get back to where he was.
I also felt Bute would beat Froch but often when fighters are outside their comfort zone, they tend to freeze and I think that happened to Bute a bit, like it did Froch early on against Taylor and I think early on Brook was nervous against Porter before they found their groove. They were able to take the shots before settling down, where with Bute, I dont think he was able to in the early going

I too over estimated Bute in the Froch fight and thought he might have pulled it out.How wrong I was and Froch stole Bute's heart and has made him into a very ordinary fighter with little to no confidence once so ever. This will be Bute's last stand in Montreal.
