Nobody Cares if Golovkin Claims All 4 Titles

Joeyp130 why would i stop watching.the sport over a differences of opinion of a hype job, if Golovkin gets this false record I'm petty sure when it happens they'll be an article as there is one written about basically every relevant fight. The idea though that it automatically qualifies for HOF is false though, GGG could make it in the future but at the current pace he'll just be an obscure footnote in boxing history boxing is a sport about who you beat no historian is going to big up a guy who's best wins are ESPN level fights.

Now I can play the duck or not.**** name with you but its late, and I'm sure you'll spin some creative reason for why GGG turning down a fight is different than someone turning GGG down for the exact same sh!t.

 

At the very least he should try to make the fight. I'm a BIG Golovkin fan, but he should still try to make the Lara fight, if he does it while having a backup opponent, then he has nothing to lose just trying for the fight.

They are really same level and same sh!t passing off fake titles and titlist as champ,if GGG never fights a top quality fighter none will remember or care about a false record.
As for the final point he really doesn't Lemiuex, Murray at best there on par with Alvarado/Ortiz but no logic is there to say there clearly better. Them being and beating actual champions off rip put them ahead seeing as noone on GGGs resume has ever beaten a top fighter ever. I'm always down for a good sports debate if you want to continue I'll get back to you in the am ✌.

 

Just so we are clear...i am noting making that some sort of qualification for HOF consideration....what I am saying it's the record, regardless of his resume, that will get him in.

Add to that, if the streak of KO defenses continues, that will be an achievement that gets him in as well .

So the actual lineal middleweight champion is Canelo? But he isn't a middleweight is he?

This is why Canelo apologists are ridiculed and sound contradictory, in one breath Canelo is the lineal champion and then when it's time to fight his mandatory at middleweight "Canelo isn't a middleweight".

If the real lineal champion drops the belt and runs away to the weight division below he sort of forfeits any claim to be the lineal champion or the man at the weight.

Also while I will say Brook Vs Golovkin isn't a good fight, in my mind it's the same sort of "slap in the face" as you put it as Canelo Vs Khan was.

Also Canelo isn't fighting a legit 154 Champion in Smith in my opinion. Smith is regarded as the weakest champion at 154, who is Smiths best win? Highest ranked opponent?

Smith beat John Tompson to win the vacant title, defended it twice against Jimmy Kelly and Radosevic. Are you seriously telling me that makes him "legit"?

Smith hasn't faced a top 25 fighter at 154. So stop with this nonesense about the winner of Smith Vs Canelo has a claim to be the man at 160, you sound ridiculous.

Does Golovkin get any credit at all for beating Ramierz? Ramierz has only beaten an old shot AA, not proven at all.

DeGale? DeGale is constantly hammered on here, I personally rate him but IF Golovkin beat him people would be on here saying "Medina gave DeGale nightmare" and "Groves beat him"

In my opinion the people who should be getting slaughtered are Saunders and Jacobs, they both should be shredded for not insisting on fighting Golovkin.
