Just read Arum's comments about the way Golden Boy and Mayweather were jerking poor old Amir Khan around. But as far as i know, nobody forced the guy to pass on a fight in december that i thought was winnable for him and would have made it much easier for the boxing world to accept him as a Mayweather opponent. Dude has himself to blame

very very true. i dont consider that a duck because he wanted to face someone better. But he has himself to blame! he should have fought Alexander, and won (which he would have) and then the May date would have been as good as his.

Khan wasn't prepared to take that chance, as soon as Devon landed clean glass jaw was going down.

It wasn't about the Devon risk. It was the fact that not taking the fight put him in a better position to take the Gayweather fight. Mayweather had been talking to him before and then throughout December. The contract signed in January? Then he added some bull**** poll and now is delaying like crazy. He will probaly pull a ***** move and announce Maidana. Maidana will enter camp late (not that it makes a difference anyway). Floyd just looks like an ******* no matter what he does now.

Last time I checked Porter whooped Alexander's holding ***** ass around the ring. Which is funny since Alexander seems to lose to better boxers (Bradley Porter - Khan?) Glad we don't have to see that yelping hunch back anymore.

Should he have fought Alexander though? yes. fck Mayweather. Had a good chance of beating Alexander as well...

    100% agree.

Would have worked out for him had Maidana not upset the apple cart too.

Yep. If Khan had beat Alexander and taken his belt, I seriously doubt this discussion would even be taking place and Khan would already be signed to fight Mayweather.

Should have stayed off of the cocaine and kept fighting.....

It's funny that the Alexander fight didn't end up getting made due to Khan thinking he had the mayweather fight in the bag and not wanting to risk it just to gain a strap when the guy who actually got utterly clowned by Alexander not that long ago may actually get the fight. Madness

Have people forgotten that Khan was ready to fight Alexander back in December before talks of a fight with Mayweather started. People can have a go at Khan as much as they want but I firmly believe that he was told by GBP that he was next in line to fight Mayweather and not to risk fighting Alexander. He's been taken for a ride by Mayweather's team whether you like it or not and I say this as a fan of Floyd. It's wrong how they have strung Maidana and Khan along just because they have the power to do so.

It was a strategical decision by khan's camp to use the leverage of him having 1 fight left on his showtime/gbp contract.

Thats the main reason I'd like to see Maidana get the Mayweather fight instead of Khan.

If Khan would have taken a chance and beat Alexander then a lot of the objections to him getting Mayweather would be gone.

Instead he sat around waiting for the fight to fall into his lap instead of doing something to earn it and it looks like it could be slipping away,I still think he gets the fight but its not as likely as it use to be.
