You know I've been wondering about this for a long time but I'm finally getting around to making a thread about it....

Usually when people start talking about oscar vs pac and how bad oscar was...the comment that usually follows up is

"well nobody gave pac a chance BEFORE the fight"

my question to that is what the **** does that have to do with anything...just because a bunch of people said oscar was going to win should determine how big of a win it was? you know none of us knew was was going on in oscars mind and in his body except for oscar... so regardless of what "WE" as fans thought it really means nothing...

i mean honestly... why does someone always say that ****... its irrelevant....

I said Pacquiao would win all along, but the excuse of "nobody gave pac a chance BEFORE the fight" is ****ing lame!

it simply means pac was the underdog in that fight and getting the win when almost everybody writes you off is a big achievement. it also reveals the thought in people's mind that it is harder to go up 2 weight divisions than go down 3 pounds that is why most picked oscar.

So you go make a thread about it.. Stop getting so upset over peoples comments.. In the other thread you said his win over DLH was easy.. Yes he was a dehydrated man, but all I said was no one was picking Pac to beat DLH.. Remember when everyone was calling it a mismatch?

it means that you can say how bad oscar was as much as you want, but the truth is he only looked so bad because Pac made him look so bad. And the proof is that before the fight, everyone thought he would win.

Not EVERYONE called it a mismatch. FFS, I think the ODLH/Forbes fight showed it would not be. When you factor in everything, Pac should have been favored to win. All people focused on was the size.

How the hell does that equate to proof?

almost everybody was calling this fight a "circus". now that floyd is fighting marquez, there's hardly anyone who calls this fight a circus but those two fights have the same circumstance.

If it's irrelevant, then why make a thread about it?

it dispells the claim that Pac is a cherry picker. He took a huge risk by taking this fight. Even if you consider that Oscar was shot there was no way for pacman to know that when he signed the contract. It took some serious balls on his part to make that fight.

Bull****. People are calling a mismatch still because people are more biased against Floyd, but always want to give Pacquiao total credit!

ok pac was the under dog before the fight... but the people making the odds dont know anything about

    oscar's focus
    oscar's training camp
    oscar's weight situation
    oscar's health

i mean oscar didnt fight at 147 for 9 years man.... but once you step inside the ring all that underdog/over dog **** should not really matter

what does people's choices have to do with the actual results of the fight... its not like the fact we all agreed that pac was the underdog impacted the outcome of the fight

that is not proof.... in any way shape or form

oscar not fighting at welter for 9 years.. that is proof

    peoples

Roach knew he was shot. That's why he let Pacquiao fight him!

because if he was so terrible, there wouldn't have been 95% of people picking him to win. Call it evidence rather than proof

Go back to December of last year and check out out the posts before the fight and all the experts picks and articles.. Even after the Forbes fight, people were saying "mismatch" and "circus"..
