Just give Pacquiao props for his bravery for fighting a bigger man in dela hoya. Most people advised him not to take the fight, saying it's a suicide. But he took the fight because he believed in himself and knew that he could win despite the size difference.

He just fought once in the lightweight division by fighting diaz, then he moved up again 12 pounds to fight dela hoya. Dela was kept saying throughout the 24/7 series that he never felt that strong. But then when he was brutally defeated in a one-sided fight, he would tell everyone that he's weight drained.

Just give pacquiao his due credit. He's good for boxing.

He and Marquez are both phenomenal. They keep on moving up in weight and beating and tearing up the best fighters that come their way.

If only Floyd has the fighting heart of Pac and Marquez, then he could be fighting fighters of his own size, i.e., mosley, cotto, williams...etc.

Sandman... you have to update your signature, Hatton at 140 needs to be added, thats one of his best wins.

    :good

It's irrelevant anyway because Oscar probably weighed his normal 160 or more, not 147 for the fight!

    lol, funny.

The logic with these people. There's only 2 facts we can get out of this fight, most of these guys picked Oscar to win easy, Pacquiao won and they were proven wrong. All this BS excuses that came after are just that, excuses.

Only person I exclude is Jeff M, he actually picked Oscar so has the right to state his opinion on it. Guys specially like UliUli, proven wrong in a self ownage thread and still has the audacity to make claims & excuses on the Pac-DLH fight are a joke.

Predictions regarding a future event, are irrelevant simply because they are nothing more than speculations, at best educated guesses. But when you look at predictions in hindsight or after the fact as your initial proposition states ("well nobody gave pac a chance BEFORE the fight"), predictions then become relevant as to the correctness or otherwise, of those predictions.

    OOOOOH NO YOU DIDN'T!

This is a "tune up" fight though so I guess it all makes it okay.
