i thought this is pretty obvious except for some hardcore floyd fans who likes to think that floyd is of the same size as pac and jmm. ;)

Gotcha so it is impossible for anyone to know Oscar's health, conditioning, focues etc except for Freddy Roach. He is the aplha and Omega and know all of boxing. Thanks for clarifying that.

There is a 9 pound difference between the heaviest they have weighed so at 143 or 144, that's not too bad. The only reason either can fight at higher weights, and Pac, is that they have the skill to overcome size!

Oscar fighting again at welter after 9/10 years?
How about Pac not having fought at welter all his boxing life? From 135, he jumped to 147 (two divisions higher). No one gave Pac a chance to win. Only Roach believe that Pac can win this fight. Now, if Oscar mismanaged his weight, it's not Pac's fault. Why discredit him when he was just doing what he was supposed to do which is to win fights?

Why come w/ all these excuses about weight, etc. now?

He weighed a pound and a half more than he did against Diaz. He didn't add any weight. He just cut less, which I think has helped him.

Whatever you think about that comment, it was anchored on truth that 95% of the boxing pundits and even his ardent fans never gave him a chance to win.

9 pounds doesn't look that bad. but for two fighters with the same level of skills, this 9 pounds would mean a lot especially at lower to middle weights. one example is how juanma just kept on walking against penalosa's shots even after being hit flush.

Diaz is a lightweight. He had never encountered a welterweight fighter all his life, let alone a former junior middleweight champ. Wasn't that a blatant disavantage on Pac's part? He fought Hatton a junior welterweight who has never been defeated in his division.

Those people who said "Nobody has given him a chance to win against Oscar" are just stating a fact which actually happened before the dela Hoya fight.
