People basically said the same thing to Columbus when he said the world is not flat. Same with Copernicus when he said the earth is not the center of the solar system. Both men proved everyone wrong... and now they are treated as great men who changed human civilization.:deal

    ok and?

oscar showed up in the ring looking liek a ****ing piece of ****.... nobody could predict oscar would look so horendous

what people said hold no weight on real issues...

    its basically opinion vs fact

fact-oscar hadnt fought at 147 for 9 years
fact-oscar couldnt pull the trigger (from roach)

opinion- manny has no chance... its bogus

what people "say" have no direct or indirect outcome on the fight.. except how people mentally accept the outcome

but as far as effecting oscar's performance... IT DOESNT!

    the 2 fact's i posted DID effect oscar's performance

biggest fact = pac performed really well that made oscar look bad.

do you honestly believe that if the fight was fought at 154, that oscar would have won? and i thought that pac destroying hatton in 2 proves that the oscar win was no fluke?

Same thing happens with every other fighter who wins a fight in witch the critics/fans give them little chance why are you singleling Pac out? Do you know the meaning of the word Underdog?

And it's not the fact that people where saying DLH was going to win, but more about the mismatch that was taking place and how DLH had almost every advantage in the bout that makes the win all that sweeter.

Pacman fighting DLH at 147 was still more dangerous than Mayweather fighting DLH at 154.

Doesn't take anything away from Mayweather but the immediate jump in weight from a year previous to that fight, made it a more dangerous fight nonetheless.

No one knew Oscar would look shot in the ring, not even his trainers that still confirm Oscar looked awesome throughout training !!

Pacquiao had a lot to do with making him look shot....

One has nothing to do with the other. The ODLH win just proved that Pac could be great at a weight above his own natural class, The Hatton win proved he could dominate the #1 guy in a division he never fought in and do it in a manner without doubt.

Perhaps, but I hear "Most people on here thought Hatton/PBF was a 50/50 fight" on here as a reason why it was a big win for PBF.

It's lame yes, but people should be consistent with it.

Only a Hattonite could really believe it was 50/50! Of course, people were saying Hatton/Pac was 50/50 which I thought was a joke too!
