Hard to know for sure how good his chin is above 160lbs. But maybe he could take the shots from the best punchers under 200lbs but taking flush shots off the likes of Ouma, Canelo, Jacobs etc is hardly the proof of that. But if his chin is as good as it seems then I wouldn't rule it out that he could remain on his feet until the end against the best punchers under 200lbs. But that doesn't mean he'd last the distance with them. Look at Chris Eubank. At the end of his career he moved up and faced Carl Thompson. Thompson for all his flaws was a monstrous one punch KO artist who could turn a fight on it's head with one punch and leave an opponent out cold, flat on their face. Eubank took the huge punches off of Thompson in 2 fights and wasn't KO'ed but he was stopped due to injuries. Even if Golovkin can remain on his feet he might not avoid the damage caused to his face and get stopped on an injury. So I think examples like Eubank and also Toney shows middleweights with iron chins can handle the power as they move up. But I'm not sure Golovkin falls into this category. His chin might be just as good but his defence isn't as good as Eubank or Toney's. It's one thing to move up and have a good chin and good defence and be OK against these bigger punchers but it's another to only have a good chin and have a reputations for getting hit an awful lot like Golovkin. Plus Eubank and Toney were always huge middleweights while Golovkin is a natural middleweight.
Talk crap, Trinidad never stopped anyone at 160 that had a chin remotely like Golovkins. Trinidad gets knocked out in 8
No way could Jones KO GGG with one shot. Moorer`s power was far more impressive than Roy`s at heavy, he had a far better KO ratio at 175 than Roy had too, if Moorer and Roy both weighed 195-200 Moorer would have a fasr better chance at KOing GGG.
Trash but has a 100% KO rate, unified champion and is undefeated. I bet your dad spanked you if you only got A-grades.
Imo ggg has an absolute granit chin + great defense (very subtle, he rolls with almost every punch, its quite difficult to get him really clean) + he has great balance and top notch pokerface. 200 is imo not realistic. But from 154 till 180 there are not many guys in historie who could potentially stop him. No order, guys who had the potential to stop him: Beterbiev (top notch heavy handed, could grind ggg down) Stevenson (top notch one punch power, proved it and big enough) Roy Jones (to the body) Julian Jackson (perfect punch) Thats all imo (I just watch boxing since 1998)
Monzon, Hagler, Hearns, Roy Jones, Robinson, Hopkins and Duran to name a few would stop the bum killer ak GGG any day of the week.
I only got 3 c-grades and Beterbiev was completely out-classed by Usyk in the amateurs all he has isd power.
Hopkins KO ratio wasn`t as good as GGG`s and he was an extremely negative fighter too, Roy was far more fragile than GGG.
Hearns was very good v Hagler and Shuler but the rest of his career at 160 was patchy and he was far more fragile than GGG.
