i rate bute very highly, he's a good fighter with a very promising future. but he hasn't fought that many good fighters.

i'll give it to him for victories over Andrade, Zuniga, Bika... and maybe Magee. the rest is a great big pile of steaming turd.

i disagree that bute knocked magee out in better fashion than anyone else.. froch's knock out of him was far more brutal.

carl froch and andre ward also must try to prove they are the best in the super middleweight division? :huh they have been doing that. the winner of their fight later this year will prove beyond a doubt they are the best fighter in the division.

bute will get his chance.. i just think he'll fall short against both ward and froch. hell, i think kessler has a great chance to knock bute out. time will tell.

edit: forgot to put Berrio in. he's a good win for bute.

Last time I checked hitting an adversary after the referee stops the fight is illegal and if the other guy cannot continue the aggressor lose the fight by disqualification.

 

- When did Edison Pantera transform into Sakio Bika?
- One is from Columbia, and the other one was born in Cameroon.
- That Miranda fight was when I first saw Ward - and thinking wow this guy has some serious skill.
- Ward shows he can fight really strongly on the inside, and he can fight on the outside.
- I think he's immense.

 

Wladimir K is also technically amazing, but I don't see the americans hanging on his balls

miranda was a finished fighter at that point. he offered nothing before that either.

 

I agree Bute hasnt fought the top guys yet but look at resumes overall

Kessler - A very good win better than any name on Bute resume but remember that Kessler was an unwell fighter

Green - who lost to Miranda

Abraham on a winning run of 1 injury victory and then 2 losses the last being very decisive

Overall Bute has a better resume.



Wards last 4 fights, in order of last

Abraham coming off of 2 S6 losses and not as accomplished a SMW as Magee

Bika who Bute beat clearer

Green who is not as good a SMW as Andrade in Butes 2nd fight with him

Just here Bute is 3-0 up against Ward

Kessler - Is a better win than anything on Butes record, but is a win over an unwell double vision suffering Kessler better overall than Andrade 1 who was #3 SMW, Berrio IBF champ, Zuniga, Brinkley, Joppy, Mendy

Consider also Bute beat Miranda clearer than Ward.

yep, he should have, but he didn't. ward doesn't have that much pop on his punches. bute's the bigger puncher of the two, no doubt.

 

I think Ward's chin is there to be tested.

He's got very good defense though..at running.
