I expected A LOT more from Haye. And he absolutely dissapointed me in every ****ing way possible.

I had respect for the guy, but now I have lost it.

Klitschko CLEARLY won. Believe it or not... some fights actually go the distance and it still counts as a win. David Haye made it a none fight. Wlad threw over 200 more punches than him... and that was all while chasing him around the ring and easily winning. Wlad didn't even have to do that much but he wanted to make a fight out of it. David Haye was scared shitless. Especially after he saw that he couldn't take Wlad out with one punch. Wlad can't be blamed or discredited just because his opponent refused to make a fight.

Haye got whooped, period, no ****ing excuses from his asskissers. However, it was a ****ing boring fight. Wlad could have taken a few more chances, but he was the aggressor all night chasing the chicken. Nonetheless it was a **** fight, HW boxing is dying fast.

Imagine someone ignorant of the heavyweight division (well, that could describe you...). Imagine someone who had never watched boxing before watched the Klitschko-Haye fight. Who do you think they would consider the safety-first, boring fighter out of the two?

And Klitschko did not show himself to be anything than exactly what David Haye suggested. Infact, the only one to really come out with anything positive to say is David Haye for surviving and taking those shots. That's the only plus. But his career now ends with an absolute whimper and there's no way back even if he wants to fight on. It was all or nothing, and he chose nothing then decided to blame it on the toe and the referee and blahblahblah. Dave, I feel for you, the toe looked in bad condition, but did you realise how meaningless your toe is in this situation?

Your belt is on the line, his belt is on the line, it's your last fight, you made all these promises, you had all these mindgames, HBO was behind you, SBO was behind you, the British fans were behind you and travelled to see you, and you blew everything because of a toe? Toe injury or not, if your gameplan was to come in and windmill him, it was pathetic. And as usual, you showed no ability to finish a fight tactically. Don't blame it on your toe, mate.

You can't come back from that. So what if he has a "goodbye" fight? It's not like Hatton where he didn't want to go out on a knockout loss or he had something to prove. Haye backed himself into a corner and has nowhere to go or nothing to show for it. Sky Box Office won't even show another one of his fights. Nobody's gonna pay for that, and the Klitschko's are never gonna give him another chance. This was his big moment, and he failed.

And Klitschko was not shown to be this great champion. He was shown as a flawed champion with a jab and an occasional straight who also didn't back his words and showed that deep down he's still terrified of pressure. It's done no good for neither man's legacy. Both of them had a chance to cement something and they've both possibly killed their chances at becoming a HOF/ATG. Wlad in my eyes would have to beat Vitali to stand out and that's just not going to happen.

When will people learn, most mega events dont deliver. This is not just a HW thing. The fight was not terrible, about average I would say. Both guys too cautious, but thats what you often get at the top level with two guys having everything to lose.

Really? Because I didn't see Wlad come crashing down early as soon as Haye hit him, just as Haye predicted... when did that happen? I also saw Wlad chase Haye around the ring and throw over 200 more punches than Haye... but isn't it Haye who said that Wlad was safety first and boring? Well... if he is... then clearly David Haye is even more safety first and MUCH more boring.

Haye didn't stop running for his life long enough for Wlad to even sit down on a hard power punch for Haye to prove that he can take Wlad's best. I do give Haye credit for taking what did land though, just as Wlad clearly had no problem dealing with David's "Hayemakers". If you pay attention to my posts... I have never said either fighter had a glass jaw because I know that it just ******ed talk. Neither man has a glass jaw.

Very true. Most of the most entertaining fights that I have seen have come from people below the top notch level who weren't in mega fights. Mega-fights make for a more "tense" fight and I find excitement in that. It's always a big deal who actually comes out the winner, no matter how it happens.

I'll say this. Haye outbored Klitschko, and cannot insult him for his safety first style and output. His heavyweight career has been a sham.

I mean, at least he'll go out as a World Heavyweight Champion in this era which I guess means something, but he'll always be known for his Cruiserweight work, also not especially great due to lacking wins over Cunningham or Adamek.

    It's just a shame, man.

Hype is a horrible thing. I guess we should all just learn to never get our hopes up and lower our expectations.
