Round 1

Magallenes comes out aggressively, with high right hands curving around Alcoba's guard and plugging away to the body with both hands. Alcoba is just straightening up and leaning back, using his height as a defensive tool and forcing the smaller Magallanes to lean into his shots and leave his head open to counter jabs and chopping right hands. Magallanes pushes Alcoba to the ropes and continues to rip to the body with both hands. Alcoba ignores the body shots and keeps his elbows up at chest-level, protecting his face. Alcoba lands a hard counter right hand that backs Magallanes up and gets the crowd roaring, and then backs off and tries to pot shot a bit. Magallanes lunges in with a long right hand that just scrapes Alcoba's chin. Magallanes keeps pumping his fists, moving his arms constantly but slowed down considerably. He may have punched himself out.

Round 2

Magallanes repeatedly jabs high and throws rights to the body. Alcoba just bides his time and keeps a high turtle shell leaving his stomach completely exposed, and waits for spots to rip Magallanes' face off with hard counter hooks. Magallanes is lifted off his feet by almost every punch Alcoba lands. Magallanes continues to tap the body and tries to bring some right hands over the top to land on the chin of Alcoba. Magallanes comes forward behind his own high guard and gets right into Alcoba's chest but isn't at a good angle to reach the taller man's chin. Alcoba begins to hook a little more liberally and also using lone straight rights as counters. Magallanes jumps at him with an uppercut that slams into his groin. Alcoba is in horrendous pain. He takes a minute to recover. Magallanes rushes him and throws several arm punches that all get blocked. Alcoba is still wincing after the bell from the low blow.

Round 3

Magallanes hooks to the body as Alcoba tries to back him up with straight punches. Alcoba winds up forced on the back foot as Magallanes whacks either side of his body and rams into him like a rhinoceros. HARD jab from Alcoba knocks Magallanes off balance and back about a foot. HARD downward right hand counter from Alcoba has Magallanes touching the canvas to hold himself up momentarily and looking DAZED. The ref applies a count and Magallanes shakes if off and steels his resolve to fight on. Alcoba whips him with a few more sharp counters and Magallanes looks to be in terrible shape!!! He is wobbling on his feet!!! The ref watches closely but amazingly doesn't stop it!!!! MURDEROUS accuracy from Alcoba with hooks to the face and body, long straight rights and powerful uppercuts strung together without skipping a beat.

Finally it is stopped.
