Nogueira vs Schaub confirmed for UFC 134 ...........

    Yes, heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-6-1 MMA, 3-2 UFC) and Brendan Schaub (8-1 MMA, 4-1 UFC) will fight at UFC 134.

    UFC officials today confirmed the rumored main-card bout.

    The Aug. 27 event is set for HSBC Arena in Rio De Janeiro. The pay-per-view headliner pits middleweight champion Anderson Silva against Yushin Okami.

    Schaub is looking for another high-profile victory. Since losing to Roy Nelson in the finale of "The Ultimate Fighter 10," the 28-year-old ex-football player has posted consecutive victories over Chase Gormley, Chris Tuchscherer, Gabe Gonzaga and Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipvic. All but the Gonzaga victory came via knockout.

    Nogueira, a former PRIDE champion and ex-UFC interim titleholder, hasn't fought since a February 2010 loss to now-champ Cain Velasquez, who won the belt in his very next fight. He then was slated to rematch Frank Mir at UFC 119, but Nogueira ultimately pulled out for knee and hip surgery.

    Since winning his first two UFC fights as part of a 7-1 run, the 34-year-old "Big Nog" now has lost two of his past three fights.

    Snob is garbage. He's not good enough to carry Nog's spit bucket. I hope Nog turns back the clock and puts him the tightest Anaconda choke ever. Gator roll and all.

    I think Id better glue any throwable objects in my house down because if Goldy goes into 'He's defeated legends such as...' spiel something gonna go flying at the TV

    I would pay handsomely to see a healthy Brock Lesnar dole out the same beat down he done to Frank Mir in their second fight.

    If there's one fighter i cannot stand its this *****. Im tired of these TUF noobs talking like they're important. If Brendan handled his business and kept his mouth shut there wouldn't be a problem.

    I doubt it, I see Nog getting finished again and then retiring, Schaub will be much for him. As for getting a sub, besides Timmy, Nog hasn't subbed a live body since 2004.

    Definitely it started off with diego, kosheck (who i dislike but is at least a character), leben then rashad, serra now if you look at the last few seasons there all rubbish characters and rubbish fighters.

    Nog has only looked good once since 2006. Footwork has been a huge issue. Schaub is a former NFL player, so he is the real deal in terms of athleticism. If Schaub runs and guns, he could make this a difficult fight for Nogueira. I really don't want to see him get starched by Schaub.

    Let's also remember that Schaub, in his last fight, was on his way to losing an ugly decision when he stopped Cro Cop. If Nogueira can deal with the speed, he is the better striker otherwise. It could get interesting if Nog can get the clinch. I'm with Scurlar, and hoping for the gator roll.
