    Has anyone here read this book? i really want to buy it and read it but i'd like to hear people's opinions wether it's worth the read or not

    I thought it was a good read. It goes into detail about how boxing has changed over the decades and how boxing got to where it is today. The best aspect of the book in my opinion is the expert opinions included by Silver.

    It's good. It makes the best attempt at an argument for the old timers that I've seen. Well researched, with a lot of work behind it.

    Can't say I agree with all of it, but it's intelligent in its overall approach.
