none mexican and puerto rican fans, what side of the rivalry do you root for?

i like certains boricuas like Cotto, Tito, and some mexicans like Marquez, barrera.
its about boxing after all.

kinda hard to be invested in the rivalry when you're neither mexican nor puerto rican. its a national pride thing for them and we don't have that element.

I appreciates a good brawl. so any fighter that fits the bill of the typical brawler: good punch, solid chin, plenty heart, and always comes to fight is the one i'll be rooting for. So I find myself rooting for mexicans 99% of the time, unless its someone like marquez (yes i said it!) or mijares for example.

I could care less about nationality. I support great fighters, and there have been some amazing fighters from both countries. Eric Morales, and MAB are some of my all time favorites, while Cotto, Trinidad are fighters whom I always supported and respected.

 

heh its pretty tough there now, but with time the country will stand on its legs and improve. but I live in the US so I won't be contributing any time soon :tong

 

I support both countries. Recently Puerto Rico has been losing big time and I'm looking forward to their new prospects.

 

Both are good, and produce great warriors that command mad respect.

But the fans can be a little bit racist.
