    Big sign at the entrance:
"If you use a jab you will be expell from this facility"
They are ruining Nonito's career. The guy cant box anymore, just headhunting and looking for brawls. His defense looks like Margarito's and he doesnt jab at all.Relying just in power and overwhelming his opponents.
As a hardcore fan i cant dislike Nonito, lets talk real here. The guy is great.
But last night he was fighting a walking stick who didnt know how to move his feet or head, dehydrated and with absolutly NO power.
Forget about Rigo, its not about Rigo. Its about Nonito,he is talking about 126 and he cant make his mark at 122 yet.
He needs a new trainer, that mexican macho style is not for him.

Robert garcia only teaches brawling. nonito needs a new trainer he needs to move his head punch in combos and jab himself inside.

    I agree.

A couple of years ago i think Roach would have been perfect for him but the Wildcard gym seems to be on the way down. Khan's dramatic improvements seem to have came to a halt, Pacquiao is on the way down and Linares hasn't lived up to expectations. There was a time when a Roach fighter couldn't lose a fight but that has came to and end.

There would be pros and cons going with Manny Steward. He'd certainly learn alot from getting him on board but i'm worried that Manny would try and change Donaire too much. He doesn't need his style being completely overhauled, he just needs to make a few changes. Be less left hook happy, add the jab to his game and have more punch variation. Use the jab both as a weapon and use it to set up attacks aswell. At the moment he's not using it at all.

    I agree.

To think that Donaire seems to be an intelligent boxer, who can read his opponents well. It is just that he has this mentality of always needing to knock out his foe even though he has the ability to just outbox them for a dominant decision win. I think, at the back if his mind, he wants to be regarded like Manny Pacquaio, who is loved because of his exciting fights. He should refrain from that if he wants to prolong his career and be more successful.

Robert Garcia wa never a great trainer in my eyes. Just very approachable and can manage a gym and a stable of fighters. As far as teaching them though, he is very limited

I mean if you look at the Roach fighters with all thier flaws they aren't bad at all; poor Linares just kept coming forward into the battle and as far as Manny and Amir go they lost via controversial SD's. No biggie. They can bounce back I think.

As far as Robert goes; Max kept on repeating yesterday night that Robert Garcia is one of the best trainers after Emmanuel S and Freddie R. I was thinking to myself wth? Brandon Rios who got outboxed by Abril and Kelly who kept getting tagged by a part-time fireman? The only good fighter he has is Mikey Garcia... he's gonna go places.

Not being committed was a problem last night in my opinion. Was he there to box or to swarm? In the first round he was all over Mathebula and then in the corner his trainer told him to relax because there are twelve rounds. In my opinion he should have kept his foot on the gas all the way, or slow it down and mix in a variety of punches, use the full arsenal. What you ended up with was a half and half style of slow paced bangin, he'd take his time but still throw those home run shots when he did get close. I just think he would have done better by being all in or all out.

Garcia ain't the problem here, Robert teaches the basics & works the fighters best attributes to death in the gym. Trust me Garcia does not train that hands low wannabe Jones Jr. ****.
Donaire is going to be Donaire regardless of who trains him.

Enjoy the reflexes while they last... Getting knocked out comes next.

Kelly's jab is gone too. It was his greatest asset

Dude, Roach took Linares as far as he could... Linares boxed DeMarco's ears off, but Linares has the bad fortune of having really ****ing fragile skin. From that point on, Linares was downhill.

Fragile chin ? **** that, that wasn't the problem. It was him not sitting down on some of his punches and rolling with the punches. He ended up rolling into DeMarcos punches.
Last fight that Linares lost was because of the same dumb mistake. He kept trying to roll with the shots but ended up taking flush bombs from a puncher.
It´s dead obvious that it doesn't work so why the hell would Roach have him doing it ?
    :-(
