I think montiel is abit over rated and falls short on most of his big fights while nonito does the opposite. Montiel throws way open and perfect for nonitos style. Nonito by tko

I'm honestly surprised there are so many votes for Donaire UD.

My expectation was something like 60-40 (Donaire KO to Montiel KO).

Someone is going down and not getting up.

Yeah, that "Classic Forum's opinion on ___ (modern topic)?" stuff doesn't fly anymore.

Well, they should sticky a modern boxing conversation thread then, because the classic has good things to say about active dudes sometimes and it'd be nice to see. We have classic threads here all the time. But the reverse is forbidden?

ko by either is highly probable. i'm just guessing that if donaire gets bothered by montiel's power, he might pick his shots and use his size and speed advantage.

well it might be a waste of speed and reach advantage if Donaire wouldn't use rounds to pick up on points. How good is Donaire's inside fighting though? I'm no expert.

Both boxers said that this fight will not go the full 12 rounds...

I can understand people predicting a Donaire victory with his lethal combination of speed, power, movement, range... but Montiel is always dangerous and has the power to end the fight quick.

With that said, I see Donaire frustrating Montiel in the early rounds that will make the ever patient Montiel decide to initiate dangerous risky offensive moves... Donaire mauls Montiel early and eventually ends it with a KO/TKO...
