I just want to create a thread for this hell of a fighter whom I was glad to have witnessed live in action... Future P4P fighter Nonito the filipino flash Donaire.

    wanna join this bandwagon?

I like his moves, his footwork, his power and versatility as a fighter. He can do orthodox style and then shift to southpaw to confuse his opponent. He was not fortunate to be managed by good promoters during his early years. I hope he is given the right breaks this time.

He is my idol second to Manny Pacquiao.

Nonito Donaire is always one of my favorite... I can brag that I picked him to upset Darchi before...

great fight though i think the stoppage was premature. nice display of skills. that left hook is really dangerous

Nonito is a bad man. And what's scary is he can even be better. Just imagine if Big Floyd or Unca Roger hook up with him.

Ive been following Nonito since the Darchinyan fight and he looks to be promising. In addition to what he does in the ring, listen to what he says after fights, he has a lot of ring intelligence and ring awareness

What is great is that he knew what advantages he had over his opponent last night and he did what he needed to do against a lesser opponent, as opposed to carrying the fight 12 rounds.

I agree. Right now, he's doing fine with Jerry Penalosa's big bro. :D
The Mayweathers would turn him into something really special if they ever get a hold of him. He seems to possess the boxing brain and ability for their brand of fighting.

Donaire is a class act. Ive been fully appreciating his ability for a while now and I think he can dominate at 115 and 118

yep. He is the goods. I remember after the Mthlane fight people were disappointed but he looked really good in that fight too.

Actually, going back to the Darchinyan fight, Donaire has easily beaten 4 top class opponents back to back.

He's in my top 3 favorites with Pacman and Linares. I remember all these guys who used to argue that he wasn't good, that Mijares was better, and that I don't know how to rate fighters. And I remember saying "time will tell". Time always tells.

he's a problem, i dont know why any1 ever doubted the man.....he didn't look spectatcular against Mthlane, but like was said b4, he did still look good, just not amazing, also he injured his pinky (it was his pinky right?) in that fight, he had adjusted by switching southpaw which took away he best weapon (left hook), and he still did the damn thing

did exactly what expected against a game opponent in Martinez, the mans a problem, nuff said
