nonito is better off with gerry penalosa as trainer. why the hell should he go with mayweathers? he will be better off with roach than mayweather, besides, he has already great fundamentals.

thats what im thinking too. tbh, there is nothing wrong with sticking to the penalosa bros. nonito has made some improvements against martinez especially the way he catches punches coming in and his left uppercut, although he stil lowers his guard.

dodie and gerry i think are world class trainers, esp gerry once he retires.

Donaire doesn't need a new trainer, if anything it would only mess him up......he's a thinking fighter, an ad******g fighter, and already a very skilled one, why try to fix something thats working the way it is? i mean seriously, theres not much to fix, he drops his hands low sometimes, but thats mainly so he can counter his opponent when they say the opening that he gives him, which has been working very well so far, due to his handspeed and timing, has it not?

as long as he stays focus, then he's supernatural.....but uhhh, i think that his biggest potential distraction that can throw Donaire off his game, is his wife, my gut just tells me she's gonna cause problems in the future, so yeah, lets hope she's the real deal, cuzz Nonito already is

:good:good:good i think her wife is a bit of a distracton too, which lead to some trouble between donaire and his father. me thinks that the wife should not meddle too much in the business affairs of his husband.

    i agree.

btw, monstar, scat and co. how do you see the donaire montiel match proposed by arum panning out? it seems that montiel would rather face darchi should he get past agbeko than have a match with donaire. im not sure if he is ducking him

i hope that match pushes thru. montiel is one tough cookie. he defeated aj banal if i am not mistaken right. i passed by him in a hotel here in RP when he fought last year.

looks like a little bulldog really. donaire is on the right curve right now and he needs to be sure that he manages the business aspect of his career well. and that means having someone like roach or gerry penalosa giving him pointers without necessarily selling him like a piece of meat to every promoter.

martinez was not some *****. at 24-0 that was an impressive record anyway you look at it.

you might have meant z gorres bruh. anyways, yeah i agree. montiel is a tough mofo. he's excellent at cutting off the ring and landing big combos, although i believe donaires advantage would be his speed and lateral movement. i also hope this fight comes off and the top dogs would not duck him.

    he beat Z gorez... :good

Feather fisted gorez schooled montiel. He got the KO but he only won 3 rounds coming into the 11th round in my books.
