    Nonito Donaire just posted on his facebook that he's attending the Boxing Writer's Association of America 88th Annual Awards Dinner tonight. He posted a picture of all the award winners. Congratulations to Donaire for winning The Sugar Ray Robinson Award as The Fighter Of The Year and to Robert Garcia for winning Trainer of the Year. Donaire is on top of the world right now and is on a roll. Congrats again to all the award winners for 2012.

    This is the most prestigious boxing award event in the world. Being named Fighter of the Year is like winning the Cy Young in baseball, MVP in both basketball, football and the FIFA Ballon d'Or in soccer, etc.

    this would be cool to go to and i had a chance to attend the one in vegas, 2011 but being around the all the boxing writers would give me the creeps. a lot of those guys think they're as important as the fighters.

    sorry, i should have worded my post better. i meant i had the chance to go but chose not to. i pretty much saw everyone that was at the dinner at the pacquiao-mosley fight anyway.
