how/why he is number 6 or 7 p4p, in the top 10 p4p or even in the top 20 p4p fighters.

I simply dont understand how he can be rated so high.

So he knocked out Darchinyan 3 years ago, big woop. Wasn't his last fight against a blown up light flyweight or straweight?!?

It obvious he has the skills to be around the p4p list (not sure about on it); but who has he beaten or even faught?!

Seems a bit of a joke to me and seeing his name on the list gets me annoyed.

well if you are talking about the Rings ratings they are a little jacked I mean they have him ranked 7th as Jr. Bantamweight but 5th for pound4pound, doesnt make any sense. To me you would have to be at the top of your weight to claim that. for the record I think he deserves to be ranked high but no one wants to fight him apparently

Sounds like bollocks to me. I'm sure Montiel etc wanted to fight him.

I want to see Donaire rematch Vic then fight Hasegawa.

No need for Hasegawa to leave Japan for a fight like Montiel when they'd make far more money and get more people to watch in Japan. Maybe he could go on a PPV undercard but he may not have been offered the opportunity.

Well he is ranked high cause when he beat Darchinyan ,vic was rated as a top pfp fighter by everyone, and also cause Nonito hasnt been beaten since, yey his competition has been kind of poor but he has dominated. The other reason being is that lot of the guys out their dont have that good of resumes that are much better than Nonitos.

But i see what you are talking about Nonito has to start fighting better competition. Cause its not that there are not fighters out there for him, Bantams are stacked and theres always a rematch with Vic out there.

Beating Vic Darchinyan was a big deal. Vic was favored in the fight, and Donaire knocked him out. Vic is still regarded a pfp top boxer (despite losing to Donaire) which shows you where Donaire stands. I think Donaire and Vic are set to fight one another again later this year.

I wouldn't get too annoyed by mythical lists. Some boxing fans sit around the Golden Boy's office making these lists, they are fairly meaningless. It's not much different to me or you making a list save for the fact its printed.

My opinion is he's too high because he's never built on the Darch win, he's living off past glory at the moment. I think he's got the ability though, and due to the fact there are not a ton of guys with incredible records I think he should be around 9-15, I'm not exactly sure where. Caballero is another one far too high.

Simple answer why, Donaire is the GOAT in his division. I agree on poor management though, there should be someone if the management look hard enough.

The pfp ranking is very difficult to come up with, so if someone puts Donaire 9-15 or 10-20, I have no qualms. Other than Pac, everyone else in the top 10 could conceivably be outside the top 10 if you consider activity rates, and if you are super nit-picky.

it is wrong to have him in a top 10 p4p list but having Caballero on it is a bigger travesty
