i hope donaire will get this fight to prove his doubters wrong that he is one of the top p4p fighters around. if montiel wins this, it would be another big one after hasegawa and would put him at least on top 5.

 

donaire got this. Look at montiel vs hasegawa he was outsped and looked clueless untill his ko. Hasegawa isn't even on the same level as donaire in terms of skill and speed. Montiel only has a punchers chance but donaire is better than montiel in all areas.

 

Donaire is faster than Montiel, yes, but Montiel has the superior power, and more importantly the experince advantage, so no he isnt better than Montiel in all areas...And Hasegawa not in the same level as Donaire in skill? Come on now...atsch

It wont be an easy night for Montiel, but he defininetly has more than a punchers chance...I remember how everyone was writting him off against Hasegawa, and look what happened...Dont be suprised if the same happens here.

 

he has a punchers chance but he aint outboxing donaire. If he doesn't land big he wont be winning. I thought he was fortunate against hasegawa but lighting wont strike twice.

monitiel has more than a chance especially if this fight is at 118 or above where motiel is more settled. i can see him bullying donaire just like what concepcion did to nonito back then. i will root for donaire but would not be that sad if montiel wins coz i like montiel and his fighting heart.

 

Can't wait to see this.

It'll be interesting to see if Donaire is a little rusty at this level, since he's been facing a bunch of scrubs post-Darchinyan. I know this - if he tries to fight southpaw for half the fight, he'll lose.

Montiel is on a great run at the moment and Donaire seems like one of the most skilled fighters around. A 50/50 fight imo.
