You make it appear like Donaire just fired his father. They have been on separate ways for a few years now. You don't know the whole story of their animosity so try not to be judgmental.

I thought Nonito explained what happened in the pre fight piece on HBO .

There are 2 sides to every story this is typical boxing business he's not the first fighter to fire their DAD.

A son not getting along w/ his dad or vice-versa. Wow, what a shocker.

I know you should respect your parents, but when they treat you like crap always saying your not good enough and after you have given them over 200,000 dollars, enough is enough, glad nonito is finally becoming his own man.

How quick for some of you to condemn Nonito! Do you even know everything that happened between father and son?

It's his career; it's his health and life on the line. I think he deserves to choose who he works with.

As far as family matters, that's personal stuff that should be left among family members.

You guys sound like gossiping little *******s!

    :rofl:rofl

He is your HERO and Maker.:yep

a certain guy named floyd fired his dad.

His dad was probably an overbearing *****. The father has to let go and let his son be. that's the point of being a dad is to let your son fly the coup.

Who cares, this is boxing and if he thinks his dad can't get him over the top then so be it. This is just a typical filipino drama. There's been a lot of boxers who left their father to train somewhere else to get better.

Mayweather-jones jr etc did it. It looks like donaire made the right choice since he's having a lot of success lately. Now instead of talking about this nonsense let's talk about donaire future opponent.

agbeko-mares winner would be a great opponent next for donaire.

    I don't care about Nonito's family matters..

This is boxing, I'm more interested in how he unifies the BW division..
