That’s why Nikolai Valuev never lost right? Weighed more, was longer and taller. Oh that’s right he lost to the midget David Haye, a cruiser weight champ. Also lost to Chagaev who was six foot. Your ignorance is showing. Skill matters more than weight. I’ve seen 140lb boxers beat 200lb in shape guys with little training or skill. Speed matters more than weight. Technique matters more than weight... you can’t seem to understand what everyone who has replied to this thread is telling you. This leads me to believe you simply don’t understand the sport as it exists or hate Donaire. ‘That being said you are entitled to believe whatever makes you happy... This content is protected
David Haye will go down as a top 3 cruiserweight. Valuev is a nobody at heavyweight, and was never good, just won on size So Valuev is not a good counter argument. Donaire was easily a top 5 p4p boxer in his prime, and is an ATG bantamweight. Donaire has been more skilled than everyone he has fought except maybe Inoue. So I'll reword this to block that loophole: In championship level boxing, when the more skilled and accomplished boxer consistently weighs much more and is longer and taller than his opponent, that's a recipe for a one sided beatdown.
If a boxer makes weight on the agreed day and hour then they are not a weight bully, they have trained correctly and are fulfilling their contract.
If he can make 118lb at the age of 38, then he belongs there. He is no Chavez Jr. When Donaire fought Walters, he was only 133lbs on fight night. 131 lbs for the Vic the **** Darchinyan rematch, which was at 126lbs, the same as the Walters fight. Against Mathebula and Arce, Donaire was around 130lbs (+- 2lb). Those were contested at 122lbs. Cutting up to 15lbs does not make one a weight bully. And it´s seriously doubtful that Donaire even cuts that much. Plus Oubaali is quite short for the weight. I am pretty sure he has not fought anyone shorter than himself as a pro. Donaire is just a bit, a bit taller than most in the division. It´s like saying Hopkins was a weight bully at 160. Dude usually weighed less than 168lbs on fight night. How many middleweights now can say the same? *Don´t go just randomly pulling numbers out of your ass. Donaire isn´t a big guy. He is just slightly taller than the average bantamweight. And Oubaali is really short for the weight. And he is also quite light. The WBC has 30 day and 7 day weight ins. Oubaali was way under the 30 day limit of 130lbs for the Villanueva bout. Dude came in at 122 or something. If there is anyone who doesn´t belong at 118lbs, it´s Oubaali, as he is way undersized for the weight.
What were the fight night weight?im pretty sure donaire wasnt 15pound heavier.oubali is shorter but a lot more muscular than donaire.
So are you also saying that guys like ODLH, Arturo Gatti, Thomas Hearns, Alexis Arguello, Gerald McClellan, Carlos Zarate, Eusebio Pedroza, Vernon Forrest, Hilario Zapata, Raul Perez, Mark Breland, Paul Williams, Diego Corrales, Terence Crawford, Devin Haney, etc. are also weight bullies since they appear larger than their opponent? As long as you can make the weight you aren't a weight bully.
Don't forget he to add he is an age bully. He needs to fight middle age guys and stop hurting these younger guys in their physical prime. He is 38. Doesn't belong with guys in their 20s. Should move up to fighting guys in 40s.
A weight bully. Being 38 year old? Ok, boomer. Whatever. We want better quality trolls. The ones here to generate traffic are not good enough. We deserve better.
He should go back to 122 and shouldn't fight guys like Inoue and Rigo, because he's going to hurt them? So is that why they both repeatedly hurt him, and one even dropped him, and he lost to both? Sorry, I'm not following your logic here.
Yooooo puff puff give me some of that good GAS you be smoking The old man is not a weight bully but we each have our own opinion
Can you explain me this whole "weight bully" thing? If a fighter makes weight without using banned substances, how is it unfair? If he makes it by hard work and you blame him, its like saying: "meh, this dude doing too much cardio and has better endurance than me, its unfair"
Donaire is angling for a rematch with Inoue, and frankly I don't like it. He nearly ended Inoue's career with that injury, and you bet in a rematch he will target Inoue's eye with that left hook. He's going to hurt them because he's much bigger than them. The only reason Donaire is at 118 is because of his genetics and the fact that he is extremely disciplined. A 40 year old boxer with one foot out of the door could retire a future ATG 27 year old boxer who hasn't even reached his peak due to having a massive size and weight advantage, I'm not fine with that.
