He probably doesn't rank higher than Spence and AJ on your list.

Give it a rest, he's the very definition of an ATG in and around his weight, same goes for Roman Gonzalez. Just because you might not be big on the lower divisions and any of their accomplishments down there, and that they may not have the same level of fame, doesn't lessen their ATG status when hey have the record to back that **** up.

Not even close. He was totally dominated in his two biggest fights; Rigo and Walters

So.... I take you don't think Roy Jones Jr. is an ATG then? After all he got taken to school by Joe and KO'd by much bigger men countless times.

Why are a couple people acting like Walters was among his biggest fights? He was getting older on his fifth division for that and everything after (except coming down two divisions late in his career). His biggest fights against his best opponents were Darchinyan, Montiel, Nishioka, Narvaez, and Mthalane plus the big L to Rigondeaux with many more notable wins to boot.

Donaire is one of the literal two or three best low-weight fighters (only Roman Gonzalez maybe?) who hopped around classes in this recent Pound-for-Pound Era, so to speak.

If he can pull one last big rabbit out of his hat against Inoue and wins the WBSS against all odds, I think he's just there. But it's not too likely he will.

Not sure about that ATG thing. He didn't fight any of the five best Bantam's at the time he was at Bantamweight. Mares, Agbeko, Perez, Darchinyan, and Moreno. Montiel wasn't better than any of them at the time. He ended up rematching Darchinyan at 126 when he was long past it. He also got the boxing lesson of his life, along with his face getting broken against a midget at 122, and also looked vulnerable in a couple other fights at 122. He then got chopped down by a somewhat crude Jamaican at featherweight, and all type of excuses were made about Walters being bigger. But Donaire built his hype on beating shorter midgets like Montiel, past it Sydorenko, and past it Arce. Donaire left his prime weights much too quickly in my opinion, without having cleaned them out. There are guys at 112-118 now, who would be his best opponents if they were fighting back then.

Roy had already been destroyed a couple times when reluctant Joe thought he was softened up enough to take the bout.
