I think he and Robert Garcia have outgrown each other. Nonito needs a trainer that will give him undivided attention. Garcia has too many fighters on his stable and is not a good defensive trainer, something Donair needs the most at this stage of his career. His training for Rigo fight was through the phone. Seriously how do you prepare for a price fight on the phone.
http://thaboxingvoice.com/donaire-relying-on-his-father-more-than-garcia-for-the-walters-fight/33698 Before you call someone an ******* you need to be more informed. Technically Garcia is still involved in training Donair but not as committed as a trainer should. You need to watch your focking mouth on how you address me *****.
He is a classic case of a guy who fell in love with his athleticism and they never worked on certain fundamentals because of the results they got from his natural abilities. Basically, laziness.
It seems like after the knockdown, Donaire went balls to the wall, and accepted the fact that either he or his opponent were going to get knocked out.
He should retire and if he doesn't I'm hoping he gets knocked out again. There is nothing left to accomplish
I wouldnt blame the trainer.. It's more Nonito's fault... BUt if I had to choose a trainer for him, it would be Nacho...
Yep, only thing is, sometimes Nonito gets stubborn and won't listen to his corner or won't follow the gameplan. It's all a matter of him listening to his corner. He was fine with Garcia. No shame losing to fighters like Walters or Rigo. Nonito's time might not be over, but he needs to be aware just like he had his time, other fighters want theirs. Walters is brilliant tho, versatile. Something Nonito is not. Depends way too much on left hook and reflexes alone.
