    You're just a pinoy hater. Nonito is pinoy because he has the pinoy power in his left hook. Worry about your mexican fighters not our pinoy fighters.

    He went to San Lorenzo high school which is about 2 miles from where I'm posting now and about 6 miles from the Oakland Coliseum. He lists his nationality as Fillipino/American.

    BTW: I'm still not sure if you use the "Ph" or "F" to spell fillipino? I've seen it spelled both ways many times :huh

    Right now in the East Bay we got two great fighters were proud of the other being Andre Ward :bbb :good

    Born in the Philippines, living in the states now. Only thing making him American is his place of residence.

    Blood is thicker than water. Enough said. America has never been and will never be a homogeneous mixture. Donaire will cling onto his Filipino roots if he had to choose. The ONLY reason people come to this country is for economic opportunity. If you could be just as successful as you are in this country anywhere else in the world, everyone would just move back to their ethnic roots. End of story.

    Ethnicity = Filipino

    Nationality = American

    Hence, he is Filipino-American (or Fil-Am for short)

    If he's an American citizen, he's both. By the logic of some of you guys, nobody could ever be American because everyone's parents outside of Native Americans are 100% from somewhere else.
