atsch Other way around. He uses American resources to get ahead in his boxing career and the Filipino fanbase for his financial gain. Would he be as big a draw if he was called the "Montenegro Flash" ?
So provincial to spend so much time arguing about the nationality of people like Donaire, OLDH, etc. Really in the end of the day, if Donaire sucked, most Americans here would not even care of Filipinos claimed him. Same for everyone. If ODLH won more of his big fights Mexicans would all over that bandwagon. That "no warrior heart" is just euphemism for "loser." Trust me if ODLH beat Trinidad, Mosley and BHop, Mexicans would say he walks on water.
so is Pac. Many pinoys are quite athletic tbh. Its just that our government is **** when it comes to organizing sports programs, wasting their talent. Nonito and Pac are proofs that when an elite trainer sets their sights on a Pinoy with potential, he wont be disappointed
WRONG. By the time Oscar fought Tito, Mosley and B-Hop, he was already hated by mexicans...The hate for him began with the Chavez fights, you can even argue that it began with the Ruelas fight. Many mexicans were rooting for Tito when he and Oscar fought...Imagine that, rooting for a fighter from a place we consider our greatest rival while taking on one from our ethnicity. Of course, the whole running in the final rounds of the Tito bout made things worse. You are right about the americans tho...Americans will only claim and support their fighters when they are on top, but once they fall, they'll forget about them. Us mexicans stick with our fighters no matter what.
He's Filipino, Get over it. You could ask him now and I'm sure he's gonna say he's Filipino. Just because he's in America, took opportunities and took off from there doesn't mean he's American.
He's Filipino-American. You all can cry all you want about it but he has dual citizenship in both countries that makes him a citizen in both countries. He'll tell us if he had to choose one, he will pick the Philippines of course and that hes more Filipino than he is American...but hes still American. He would have to renounce his citizenship to not be American and just live here on a visa.
Nobody is crying son, We all know that he is only American on paper. His family migrated because they want options and opportunities, One Philippines is surely lacking.
Thats how the system works boy. Technically hes American cause he has Citizenship on paper. Its not my problem if he wants to continue living here in the States and not in the PI.
