From what I heard, Shaw had a favoritism towards Darchinyan so after Donaire knock Vic to neverland. Shaw never put Donaire in a fight in a year the results of his inactivity, Donaire said "I got to pay the bills" so he leaves Shaw. I dont know if this is the real story but then again most fights that fans really want to see are being screwed mostly by promoters. I wish there would be a law against that.

Nonito Donaire needs to fight this man:

5 feet, 5 inches, tall, weighs 115 pounds, holds the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles at super flyweight, is a southpaw with crippling power and is from Armenia.

I was looking forward to seeing more of Donaire after that big win over Darchinyan and its disappointing that he can't get a big known name to fight. A shame, really.

it's because there is no big name at 112..you'll be surprise if molitor would be a star at 126 as caballero finds hard to look for an appealing opponent

No excuses why Donaire hasnt fought, regardless of opponents running
scared - he should always have another option, promoters dont do
everything, fighters have to take some responsibility..

Im a Vic fan, ill admit to not seeing Donaire fight till he KOd Vic in
devastating fashion - then I was looking forward to seeing more of
Donaires fights, he is resting on his lorals a touch..

But, on the upside, he is young and theres plenty ahead of him,
I just wish he'd fight more - cause he looks to have a shitload of talent.

He's not running out of opponents! He should fight the likes of Munoz, Arce etc just to get a couple of good names on his record. Vic is the ONLY good win he has.

He can have all the power and skill in the World, but if he isn't fighting anyone good, he isn't any good, simple as that.

He could move up to Bantam and fight Hasegawa. Or win the WBO belt at super-fly (already scheduled) and hope that Vic moves up to Bantam and fights Montiel. Then Donaire can fight the winner of that fight.

But he needs to do something soon, isn't he 27? It'd be terrible if he didn't get a good fight until he was 30 and his physical skills had declined. I want to see this guy in his prime, against someone other than Vic, who himself has improved since that fight, and for my money, would give Donaire a better fight in the rematch.

But is Vic scared? Not sure but his promoter knows Donaire is high risk-no reward. No one outside of ESB gives a **** about him (which is a shame as he's very talented) and he needs to fight some decent contenders and get more exposure.

But no. He's not running out of opponents. He's currently on the same level as Munoz, just because the nuthuggers on here think he should be P4P top 10 and Pacman's heir, doesn't mean he is.

On one fight? He has very good skills but what has he done with them?

I think Hasegawa would beat him. I think Vic would give him a better fight in the rematch at least and Montiel would beat him also.

If he beat fighters of this calibre (Vic is improved and at a more comfortable weight now, a few years can change everything you never know) then I would become a believer. I'm an admirer of his skills, but who has he beaten except from Vic, who himself has shown improvements and has beaten better opposition since (Mijares) then Donaire has done.

So, since getting savagely K.O'd, Vic has moved up a division, basically unified, beaten a top champ who had never been stopped and, in most peoples eyes, a top 5-7 P4P fighter and unified champ who himself had beaten the no.2 (Munoz) in the division.

The guy who K.O'd him? Nothing. Promotional issues aside, Donaire has done nothing.

Which is why he isn't highly rated at the moment. Only by nuthuggers on ESB.

In my eyes, Roman Gonzalez's win over Niida was just as impressive as Donaire's win over Vic. No one talks him up as the next ATG.

And for the record, Iron Boy is the top P4P fighter under SBW, no doubt. Wasn't trying to flame, just showing you I'm not, in yours words a '*****' lol

No doubt but a lot of people think he can clear out ALL the divisions all the way up to 130!!!

Honestly, if his frame could take it, with no decline in speed/power etc etc and he fought the likes of JuanMa, Caballero, Vasquez and Marquez he would be destroyed.

What happens when a genuine puncher hits him back? we don't know yet because he schooled Vic so badly.

I'm not saying he's got a glass chin, as a matter of fact I think he looks very sturdy, BUT his nuthuggers big him up so much I feel the need to WANT him to lose.

But as I have said previously, from what I've seen he is very talented. A fight with someone of Munoz's calibre would show us more of Donaire in many ways. We'd actually get to see him fight! And we'd see what happens when he fights someone who can punch back AND has some skill, and is a proven commodity against top-line opposition.

At the moment I think his win over Vic was more because of stylistic advantage, want for retribution for his brother and the fact that Vic was weight drained. No doubt it was a fantastic performance and K.O but Donaire hasn't done anything to suggest that he can do that against other 'live' opponents.

But I'd like to see him show me that he can. A fighter of his talent can only be good for boxing.
