Dude looked like a beast he was winning fights he looked like he was on path to be a ATG.

Once his wife got pregnant he seems not to be the same and really since he has had a kid

he also Seems to fight different He just looks for the left hook

Watching the first Darchinyan he seemed to be alot more technical and threw better selection of punches

Even before the rigo fight he seemed on the decline to me anyone else notice this?

Yep he's fallen in love with his power and just spends too much time now loading up. I used to love watching him earlier in his career when he boxed more but still had great power. He needs to go back to boxing more because now he's facing bigger guys that can take his punch better and stop loading up so much.

He never had solid fundamentals. Power and athleticism eventually weren't enough.

He's got an extremely underrated resume...

People saying he had "struggles" with Narvaez, Vazquez, Mathebula, and Nishioka were ridiculous.

People are overreacting to losing to the great Rigondeaux and then being down on the cards, but ultimately stopping, Darchinyan in the rematch. The Darchinyan struggles are more of a warning sign than the Rigondeaux beat down defeat.

We'll see what he does from here on out, but among active fighters, he has got to be on the short list of best resume/accomplishments.

He won those fights but he did not use his boxing skill like he used earlier in his career

    This.

It's all over for him. He might as well hang em up already

Eh, it was his 4th weight class...

A 30 year old former flyweight is usually far beyond his athletic prime and capability than a 30 year old middleweight, for example.

I don't think those are excuses; I think those are reasons.

I don't know how people can dislike Donaire as a professional. If you don't like his personality, then cool. But the guy fights everyone. His resume is insane.

No he does not fight smart like he used to or Box.

I hate watching this dude fight now.

He just sits back waits to counter with the left that is pretty much all he throws now

    Yes.

Because he's a 30+ year old former flyweight fighting well above his beginning weight class now.

Of course his toolbox, so to speak, is going to be severely limited as he rises and fights bigger fighters also regressing in physique at the same time.

I'm still a Donaire fan but was a bigger one when he was at the lower weights.

Donaire fell off when he went to Garcia and started training himself and being a part time boxer. moving up didn't help either.
