donaire seems to have the advantage in experience. banal has the power advantage (slightly) while donaire has the speed advantage (slightly). donaire had very good defense while banal is still improving. donaire for now but let's see if what will happen to to banal 2 years from now.

    hmm...:think

    honestly, it's tough to call

Donaire is currently atop the flyweight rankings and im truly impressed with his ring smarts, speed and power. Donaire also has a pretty sturdy defense.

While banal is currently rated at super flyweight and this youngster packs a mean powerful punch, has speed, decent chin(hasnt really been tested yet) and modest defensive skills. banal's learning the game well and fast.

But if the fight between them is to take place now, id pick Nonito Donaire by virtue of experience and smarts.

But im not discounting the fact that AJ Banal has what it takes to be a future champ. The kid is just really good and is currently a work in progress..:good

Both fighters are from the island province of Bohol. The warrior blood courses through their veins.

Donaire is still young. Could we really be seeing a super champion in the likes of Manny Pacquiao in the making? I think Donaire has been overlooked by the general boxing public even among Filipino boxing fans. With his sensational k.o. win over Darchinyan, he's gained some attention. But no one is prepared to put him in a Top 10 PFP list yet. But I have to admit, this guy has speed, power, and great fundamentals. This is a recipe for a great boxer, and if he keeps it up and God Willing, he'll be a future HOFer.

I would also like to say that his brother Glenn Donaire is also a great boxer.

Banal has 2 votes? Nonito smashes holes in his face, both now and in physical peak. Harsh and premature statement I know, but just calling it as I see it.

I go with either way. I like both guys. Nonito is very intelligent, has speed & Power. AJ is well balanced in every department Power, smart, speed & defense. I haven't seen AJ got in trouble yet. Nonito was tested already & already showed he has heart.

But really I don't want to see this fight. I want each fighter to dominate in 2 different division at the same time.
