Nonito Donaire vs Barrera, Morales, Marquez, Hamed

I would like to think the likes of Morales are better, but also for the sake of boxing I would like to think Donaire is better.
Donaire is clearly a head and shoulders above all of his competition today.

What is your verdict on these H2H matchups?

I think Donaire beats Hamed. As for the others, I'm not sure.

I'm not even sure he beats Hamed. Arce, Nishioka, Narvaez, etc? Easy work.

    'for the sake of boxing'

Donaire usually has a massive weight and size advantage over his opponents (usually)

I think he holds his own against most of these at 122 (so I'm not including Marquez, although neither of 'em can fight off the front foot) but Morales would walk through him and bar a Junior Jones-type struggle I'd take Barrera to beat him too.

Tough but with poor balance, awkward monster Naz probably gets picked off and loses a decision. I'm being fair to Nonito here although I'm not sold on the pick.

I will say i'm more sold on Donaire as a h2h force than I was on Mijares when people started matching him up ATG style.

Easy to see why too. Donaire is blasting out most of his rivals whereas Mijares was known for the odd SD (but they tended to be more like UDs).

Still, who's been Donaire's greatest scalp? Vic? Montiel? Neither of them are fit to carry MAB's spit bucket.

To be fair you thought he'd beat Olivares and Zarate and that he was a guaranteed legend.

Anyway, I wasn't emotional about it!

    This thread is really funny.

Yeah, he hasn't beaten anyone really outstanding yet Donaire, but these are good fighters he is beating. It would be nice to see him hoover up some really good scalps but he's not exactly ducking anyone...and like you say he's blowing them up.

I`d fancy all of them to beat Donaire, Hamed would knock him out & the 3 Mexicans would school & punish him over 12.

To be fair, i don't think Donaires' really "arrived" yet...he surely hasn't been tested yet..so we don't really know what he's made of.

He needs to hurry up then. He's 30 years old.

Why three years? He hasn't had a damaging career.
