Donaire lost that because he won't punch just waiting around.

I generally agree with that but Donaire was getting out-landed by a crazy margin. Quality only goes so far when the quantity you're producing is so low (aren't you a "Canelo beat Lara" guy?!??!?!?!) and that isn't even to mention that Donaire spent the entire 2nd half of this more hurt than Juárez, from those 'lesser' punches; the sheer volume of them and the pace Juárez set had Nonito seeing double.

Wouldn't even have mattered if the knockdown against Donaire was made official. Bummer.

Juarez let him off the hook when he slowed his workrate down a bit in the 11th and 12th though, and Nonito was still landing huge counters. 11 was a toss-up, but 12 was a Donaire round pretty clearly IMO.

I don't know about Dos Santos, but based on the weigh in, this looks like a ridiculous mismatch. DS looked like he jumped up 2 divisions for this fight. What's his story?

Wouldn't have mattered if THAT was made official and the first knockdown of Juárez (the iffy one) had been nullified.

I can see why you thought so, Donaire got in some real eye-catchers in the last couple of minutes. I just saw him getting basted from bell to bell, and he was the more hurt looking fighter even though each of his punches were obviously greater than any of Juárez's.

:lol:I'm a Maverick:D Lara shots weren't nearly taking Canelo's head off, the only reason Juarez didn't get KO'd with some of the shots is because he has rock hard ironiest chin of any Mexican at 122, and even if he did sweep the last 6, he didn't do enough to take any of the first 6, no way he could win or get a draw. And he rocked him a ton of times in the 12th.

What's wrong with thinking Canelo beat Lara.

Fair enough, I can definitely see the argument for Juarez grinding down Donaire with work rate though. :good

If he'd started getting to Donaire sooner or this was a 15 rounder, we may well have seen a different outcome. If Juarez had just a couple of more degrees of pressure in the tank, I think he could've pulled it off. Damn fine fight regardless!

And new champion, uncle Bob promised Nonito a belt I'm telling you few days ago Rigo stopped all legal issues to allow this fight for a championship belt.
