Before Mijares KO loss tonight I picked Mijares by UD, but now Donaire by KO.

Donaire, although he won via TKO didn't look that good... he had a very good opponent though.

Ring rust? maybe?! but we have to see donaire's next fight for better assessment.

Styles makes fights, but yeah i pick Donaire because i think he is able to adapt in any situation better than Mijares. Plus he has more power. I can accept people's contention about accomplishments, but what Mijares showed tonight was lack of ability to adjust.

    Different fight.

I cant doubt that tonights fight does change my intial opinion though.

Im leaning toward Donaire now, but still a different fight.

Honestly I don't know. And I'm a bigger Donaire fan than Mijares'. Donaire looked sluggish tonight. So I'm not gonna pick a winner for this fight until I see, at the very least, Donaire fight again. Then we will really see whether tonight's performance was really just ring rust or not.

Mthalane was very good, don't get me wrong. But I feel the Donaire that KO'd Darchinyan and Maldonado would've beaten Mthalane convincingly.

the african guy's defense is very tight. donaire didn't look impressive from spectator's eyes but you can still see donaire's speed, timing and defense.

about the thread, donaire looks like a good pick now but imo, vic right now is much improved compared to the time when he fought nonito. he is aware of his flaw now of being easy to counter after lunging so he makes his punches a little shorter and tighter. he also follows up on these shots.

Just got back from vacation just in time to see the fights.

Vic fought great, He looked like prime Hamed tonight...crazy angles and tremendous pop..

Two problems for Mijares, He got hurt early and Vics faster than him beating him to the punch.

Meanwhile, Donaire looked like his old self, still relying on pure talent, great speed and power. His hands are way down itll never change, but hes got good reflexes to save him. Problem tonight is, his opponent can fight and had a very tight defense. I see Nonito can get frustrated but he'll get by on sheer talent alone.

Donaire vs. Mijares...Id favor Donaire just because of the big edge in speed and to some extent, power. He can hurt Mijares. But styles makes fights

Donaire beat Vic to every punch in their fight..When people say hes got faster hands than Pac, thats serious.

I hate when people make this ****ing matchups after a fighter losses like this. Donaire will most likely win in a good fight but never count Mijares out. Donaire has a different style and less awkward than Vic. Mijares might do better against Donaire.

True, i guess the lesson learned tonight was never count anybody out, or you'll be eating crow the rest of the day.

Donaire UD Mijares. Faster, more power...and now we know what power can do to Mijares.

Mijares brought the wrong game plan against vic... he got cocky and underestimated vic and once he tasted those power punches he had no back up plan.

He could have brought the mother of all plans tonight and still wouldve got his ass whooped. You can't plan for handspeed.
