Thing is Garcia didn't tell him to go for the kill, even in the last round maybe change trainers

Wow slow down. Floyd shows much more variety with his punches. I would say Rigo foot work is amazing.

He pretty much admitted he wasn't prepared for this fight. I think Garcia may be fired.

Donaire is gracious in defeat. He tells Rigondeaux "Bueno, bueno".

    He thanks all the fans.

He says he got stupid in the 11th and 12th. He says he didn't respect the power of Rigondeaux until then. He says he fell in love with looking for the KO. He thanks Rigondeaux for humbling him with the beautiful display of boxing that he gave at his expense.

Donaire says no excuses but his next step is to get his surgery taken care of and take it from there.

Max asks if Donaire got complacent obliterating lesser foes and not having to refine his skills. Donaire says he didn't really stick to game plan and do his job staying behind the jab. He got suckered into thinking Rigondeaux was vulnerable to his power. Donaire says he will return and give it his all but keep smarter.

He wants a rematch but is otherwise done with the weight.

He feels he could do better if he actually studies Rigondeaux more, which he acknowledges he failed to do here beyond scouting him as having a suspect chin.

Nice to hear the crowd trolling Nonito when he made his excuses, good to see him laugh about it too.

Hell of a performance from Rigondeaux, really surprised how easy he made that look.

116-111 is reasonable, and 115-112 is somewhat understandable. 2nd and 4th were very close. 7th was too. 10th was 10-8 for Doniare because of the kd (flash kd though it was).

That said, a 118-109 score was also reasonable. Rigo won this fight, no questions asked.

I thought Garcia was telling him the wrong thing throughout the fight. No sense of urgency at all.
