    I'm re-watching parts of the Marroquin fight and noticed a few things. When Rigo commits to his punches, it's fast and powerful. When he doesn't, it's slow and easy to counter. He does this often...and I think that's when Donaire can take advantage.

    Rigo got hit with a lead left hook and got wobbled. Donaire's left is a monster of a punch. The next time Rigo got wobbled, he was in the middle of an exchange at mid-range. He didn't commit and Marroquin rocked him with another left hook.

    If Rigo is going to get KO'ed, its be from a left hook. He's open to it.

    Tapia is jabbing the body and slipping de los Santos' jab nicely with head bobs and full-body tilts while circling. Tapia is very relaxed with a tight guard, oaring his jabs out clinically ad precisely as de los Santos hops from one foot to another shifting his weight and looking for angles.

    Probably for Canadian television.

    He looked great though and scored a nice KO in 2nd RD.

    That's kinda how I saw it.

    At the end they just both started getting nailed a lot because they were too gassed to even attempt to bother with D anymore. That wasn't super compelling to me, as both had pretty toothless and sloppy offense. :conf

    If you squint you could almost mistake them for Mike Alvarado (Tapia) and Joan Guzman (de los Santos).

    I'm enjoying pretending they are. :yep


    Seriously though, imagine Alvarado vs. Guzman?
