Victor Pasillas vs. Jesse Adame, 4 rounds @ featherweight

 

Round 1

Pasillas quickly steps in with a quick doubled up right flash jab. Adame opens up with a wide sweeping slow left hook and gets nailed with a straight left down the pipe. Pasillas is looking sharp, snapping that double right jab. Adame is eating jabs aplenty. Adame down, but it's a slip. Pasillas keeps circling and popping quick shots in

Round 2

Adame is DOWN! Cuffing right hook to the top of that shaggy mop of Adame's. Very early in the round. Pasillas hops in place, patiently waiting for his chance to work toward a grand finale. Adame comes back for more, pushing his left jab out and tilting himself slowly from side to side. Adame is actually hurting himself more than helping with his swaying, affecting his own balance. Nice quick southpaw 1-2 by Pasillas, cracking loudly into the gloves and head of Adame. Pasillas is luring him in by dropping low in front of him and sliding his feet slowly backward. BIG left hand wobbles Adame. Another big left by Pasillas. Wide left hook by Adame, missing by a mile. Pasillas skips to the right and hooks him.

Round 3

Adame is shuffling along after Pasillas, but getting picked apart. Double right jabs on the side step by Pasillas, then a right hook off the jab and a left uppercut. Pasillas is really snapping that right jab into Adame's face, tattooing him. Nice lead left uppercut from outside by Pasillas, circling in with it and putting extra leverage into it from his legs. Big left hand upstairs by Pasillas. Adame is hurt and trying to lean inside and press against him for a clinch. Pasillas explodes with a huge combo and Adame can't keep the shots out. The ref steps in and waves it off.

Keandre Gibson vs. Moris Rodriguez, 6 rounds @ light welterweight

 

Round 1

Gibson has the Philly shell going but isn't really doing much out of it. Rodriguez is lunging in with single line drive right hands. Gibson is rolling back with them, countering with single jabs. Nobody is thinking about combinations. Very, very slow pace. Rodriguez just following, every once in a while lunging with a right hand. Gibson pot shotting with jabs, and that is being generous.

Round 2

Rodriguez is plugging away, throwing hooks and right hands coming forward and focusing on the body. Gibson is hanging back, in that shell, popping out the odd jab and knocking Rodriguez's gum shield halfway out with a right hand. A few digs to the body for Rodriguez late in the round, but nothing serious.
