Solomon steps back and pops a 1-2. Munoz is pushing straight ahead, using his forearms to press down on Solomon and pin him on the ropes but lacking the strength to hold him there. Solomon lands a hard uppercut, then circles out with a little bounce in his step. Lead right hand by Solomon, dancing around Munoz with his arms down. Munoz comes jabbing in at the head of Solomon, who ducks and gets his arms up, lolling around awkwardly and leaning back with Munoz's shots like a sapling bough in the breeze. Short uppercuts by Solomon, landing softly all over Munoz's body and lower mandible. Solomon goes to the body, and after multiple warnings (for mostly phantom "low blows") the ref takes a point from Solomon. :roll:

I had it a draw. No big problem with Brook getting the nod, though - since he dominated the first five until Jones ground him down and even then some of the last seven were close. Jones earned himself a rematch at any rate.

 

Round 8

Solomon is working left hooks to the body and uppercuts to the face, arching his back and letting his arms hang low in a spidery crouch on the outside and letting Munoz come to him. Solomon covers up and leans forward as Munoz hooks him in the balls. "Pick 'em up" says the ref, who took a point from Solomon in the 7th for an uppercut on the belt line. Solomon is leaning left and right making Munoz badly miss his straight punches, just weaving through them. 1-2 by Solomon. Slapping left hook by Solomon. Munoz won't go away. He keeps following, even as Solomon pops him with a right hand. Solomon stops in his tracks and thrusts his shoulder into Munoz to halt his advance. Big exchange at the bell, Munoz getting some licks in but eating a HUGE left hook.
