    Donaire is being trained wrong by Garcia. Garcia is making him fight one dementionally like Rios, Mathebula is bad, no pop, Donaire that fought Montiel KO's him, Get old trainer back.

    Pavlik fought a quality opponent, Looked past prime somewhat but you have to remember this is a big step up from Sigmon, Jaco, Lopez. Rosinsky took his best shots and kept swarming him, As he did verses Rodriguez ( and could have won, IMO ).

    In my opinion, it's just Donaire did absolutely **** for about 5 rounds. I'll take 10-15 jabs and a few right hands grazing or not against 1 or 2 gloved hit hooks. Even Lederman gave 5 rounds to Mathebula when Lederman generally goes gaga over the aggressor especially if he's the HBO fighter.

    And Mathebula did land clean at times. Just because Donaire takes a great punch and Mathebula can't punch doesn't discount it.

    Donaire looked worse than a 117-110 card. Mathebula also didn't look that bad for a tall guy jabbing an athletic puncher.

    God Damn I hate to even type this, but you've left me little choice...(in context) Donaires face provided ample evidence that Mathubla's punches had a bit more force than what it appeared. No it's not the end all be all of the discussion, but simple one of the possible "punch force" metrics available. The bottom line is he either hit him hard...or he hit him a lot, clearly.

    True he had some markings, but Rep you know full well that as few as one or two clean blows can cause bruising or even open up the skin...so if Mathebula landed a handful of flush shots over the course of 12 rounds but in none of those 12 rounds landed more effective blows, you don't think it can still be wide for Donaire even with some clear facial damage? :think

    donaire was marked on his fight against Marquez too.

    And Marquez was barely marked on his fight against tweetybird.
