Referencing the Barrera fight is just pure laziness.First of all,Barrera is so far ahead of anyone that Donaire has fought that I feel like an idiot for having to mention it.Secondly,Donaire doesn't fight anything like Barrera.Donaire is naturally a counter-puncher,but he likes to fight well within punching range and has never been the type to work off his jab and use lateral movement.

Great offensive fighter, but I can't say that I've ever seen Donaire as being a great tactician or a fighter of great ring intelligence. He's explosive, got excellent speed and tremendous timing. That's why,on paper, him and Hamed would be such a great fight.

He really isn't.Even if you think he's accomplished more,it's by a very, very slim margin.I might rate his win over Darchinyan above any single win Hamed has,but the rest of his best wins are comparable to the same level of opposition that Hamed beat.

Donaire would do one better than Barrera and that's stop Hamed. I admit Barrera's better

but he doesn't go for the kill. He's a typical Mexican slow calculated and savvy in what he does.

Taking his time breaking them fools down.

His style is better for taking out Hamed, he is faster, more explosive, and I beleive he has the harder one punch shot.

I don't like Donaire, but I do feel he could keep Hamed off balance with his ambush style, and counter the hell out of him. The hard counters would have Hamed scared and eventually he would do something wild and reckless and get put to sleep badly.

Hamed's only loss is when not at his best (anyone who thinks he was anywhere near his best in his last few fights is clueless about Hamed or his career) against prime MAB on pts

A counter puncher, especially highly skilled with insane speed would destroy Hamed in my opinion. I'll pick Donaire to beat him by UD or even stop him. If guys like Kelly and Sanchez were able to exploit Hamed's rubber-like style then expect hell from Donaire.

This is a boring trend among boxing fans, whenever a fighter loses he's not at his best yet when he wins he's prime time. He didn't look at his best because of MAB, why is it difficult to see it that way? Fact is, MAB was his biggest step up fight ever.

:good Great example of deluded fans, they can not understand he looked like that because MAB totally figured him out and clearly outboxed him, way he looked has all to do with MAB level and nothing with Hamed not being prime HE WAS.
