Sheridan says that while much of the ethnic group representation in the crowd is pinoys, Argies and Mexicans for the main events - both Seldin and Monaghan have brought large contingents of Jewish and Irish fans as well.

    :yep

Not to mention, from the east coast perspective:

Philly (or close enough) vs. Long Island

Pietrantonio is from PA and just lives/trains in Ohio; Monaghan is from Ireland but lives/trains in NYC.

    Round 3

Monaghan is backing Pietrantonio all across the ring with right hands and left hooks, slipping jabs and landing hard uppercuts to the chest. Pietrantonio is backed into a corner by a hard right hand. Pietrantonio is able to push his way out and starts to flip out his jab and dances on his toes but can't get any major offense together. Pietrantonio can't connect with his right hand and Monaghan can't miss. Left hook to the body by Monaghan and then a straight right hand bashing Pietrantonio back. Pietrantonio is in the corner again, dipping at the knees and almost slumping down as his butt brushes the ropes with Monaghan blasting away at his head and body.

    30-27 Monaghan

    Round 4

They trade jabs, and Monaghan throws a long reaching left hook that turns Pietrantonio's head as the taller man backs up with his body held in a straight-up line. Monaghan is jabbing his way in and traps Pietrantonio on the ropes. BIG LEFT HOOK, and Pietrantonio's mouthpiece pokes out between his lips. Pietrantonio is dribbling blood. BIG LEFT HOOK by Monaghan again. Right hand. Left hook. Monaghan is just drilling him. Pietrantonio is backed up to the ropes again, and swings wide with a wild uppercut that misses without any defensive effort on Monaghan's part. Pietrantonio backs up and jabs. Monaghan nearly gets on top of him and takes a shoulder to the midsection. Pietrantonio is getting pushed back, Monaghan's jab whizzing past his own to tap him on the nose. Wild hook by Pietrantonio, thrown lazily while backing up and too far away. Monaghan comes forward and holds Pietrantonio's shoulders as the Italian-American ducks, but Pietrantonio surprises him with a slapping blind hook up top.

    40-36 Monaghan

I'm not sure what Pietrantonio has in his chin, but it's gotta be awfully tough for him to walk through airports with it.

    Pietrantonio's trainer:

I know you're tired, but you got six minutes here. You gotta put in six good minutes here.

What are six good minutes going to get him, except a 58-56 loss? :huh (unless he scores one or more knockdowns). He may as well advise him to go for the KO, not just try for "six good minutes".
