I'm crap with US odds...but anyway
    Pac at -650=2/13=1.15

    Clottey at +400=4/1=5.0

    Donaire was -2000=1/20=1.05

    Narvaez was +2400=24/1=25

Donaire to STOP Narvaez was -350=2/7=1.29

Odds from betfair 1 hour prior to the fight.

I honestly do not understand what the **** the argument is here. We all agree that NArvaez is a better fighter than Clottey but for some reason you guys seem to be disagreeing when I say it.

I wasn't comparing the odds, I can do basic math, I was pointing out how Pac was favored greatly and it was a blowout.

You were saying he was considered a "live underdog" and "more competitive than it was" everyone expected him to be blown out and it not to be competitive.

Narvaez is a very good fighter, he just had no business in there trying to compete against a much, much bigger man. They looked to be separated by 2-3 weight classes.

TBF you didn't see the real him, he's usually more aggressive than he was tonight and can be fun to watch.

Wow. You've said some dumb **** over the years, Pharaoh - but...

You've seen him at a weight that EVERYBODY WHO IS AWARE OF HIS EXISTENCE AGREES IS TOO ****ING HIGH FOR HIM, AGAINST A DANGEROUS BEAST IN HIS PRIME.

You think maybe that kinda sorta had something to do with his performance? Do you REALLY think what you saw there against Donaire was indicative of his ability?

    For ****'S sake.

Of course I took that into account in my judgement. He's a good fighter. I give him props. But Clottey is also a good fighter. Better than Narvaez.

I think it's funny how you talk to me like I'm some idiot who doesn't understand **** about the sport, but that's not the case at all.

For example, look at the scoring of the fight. I had the same card as all 3 judges, yet early in the fight you basically said I was scoring wrongly.

Not like I'm calling you out or anything, but a lot of people on here just roll with whatever Kellerman or whatever boxing pundit throws out there. Alexander's great, Berto's great, etc. Without proving anything. Is he one of te best up and coming fighters and who looks like he will be a P4P fighter? Most definitely, but take Andre Ward for example. He's just as skilled, but his resume is much better, yet, nobody has him in the top 5. Timothy Bradley skilled fighter and much much more proven, yet, he doesn't get his due either. It just seems silly to me how one fighter out of a group of 5 or 6 young talented fighters is already top 5 P4P when there are already fighters that have proven more. That's just me though Donaire, Bradley, Ward, etc are all around the same for me. Either way though, if Donaire is a top 5 P4P level fighter he should have proven it against a much smaller man. When he fights the Shimoda's, the Rigo's of the world having that expectation of him coming out knocking them out in spectacular fashion would be unfair. A win versus those levelof fighters is good enough. Tonight was just one of those nights where he should have looked fabulous it was all set up for him.

I'm not saying that I can exactly pinpoint to a T how good Narvaez is after just one fight, but I do have a good idea of how good he is after seeing him fight for 12 rounds against a fighter that I know very well.

how many fights do I need to see before I can make that sort of judgement? Is there a rule? How many Narvaez fights have you seen?

    um

This whole conversation between you and I has been based on the Clottey Narvaez comparison. I think YOU actually must have misunderstood something I said because this is not making sense to me at all.

You made a comment comparing Clottey and NArvaez considering TALENT and SIZE. I simply stated that I thought Clottey sucked and Narvaez was clearly a better fighter. Then you flew off the handle about me not reading something you said about weight that seemed to be irrelevant to what I was saying.

As for the favorites, I definitely saw more people giving Narvaez a shot over Donaire than Clottey over Pac.
