Can't wait for this fight, happy to see Donaire back in the ring and Narvaez is quality operator though a little to small to cause Donaire real trouble i would imagine.

 

I have always liked Narvaez. At his peak he had great hand speed, quick reflexes, good chin, a good work rate and a slightly unorthodox style that i always felt would give many of the elite in and around his weight division problems.

Unfortunately he never fought much outside of Argentina and he never took on the real elite so he never got much publicity outside of his home country.

Its a shame because i think he could have made a real name for himself. With his skills and quite exciting style he would have gave anyone a good and exciting fight at his peak. However i think his fight with Donaire is to much to late. Narvaez seems to have lost a step and he gets hit more frequently these days and he is fighting a much bigger guy who Narvaez probably wouldn't have beat at his peak anyway.

It will be nice to see Narvaez on the realatively big stage but it is a bit sad that it has come so late and probably to late.


Kid Cubano - I feel it is a bit harsh to say Narvaez hasn't fought anybody. Yes, he hasn't fought a true elite but, he has fought some good fighters. Just because fighters like Lazarte, Sarrittzu, Inom, Asloum, Tamara and Whitfield aren't well known it doesn't necessarily mean they aren't good fighters.

 

Narvaez is a very good Super Flyweight but at Bantamweight against a fighter like Donaire I can't see him making the final bell.

Nonito is to big, to strong, to fast and simply to good.
