Vetyeka is considerably bigger, younger, and - while he is no Sweet Pea - defensively superior to Darchinyan.
Donaire should get major props for fighting Vetyeka. Instead, he will be criticized by those unfortunate enough to not appreciate his division or Vetyeka's talents.
One thing that surprised me in the Vic/Runito rematch was that just before he got knocked down, Vic landed a monstrous left uppercut that clocked the **** outta Donaire. The same one that took out demigod Mijares. Nonito seemed stunned for one second, then unleashed his own left to send Vic on his way out. I was definitely impressed he was able to take that shot and come back with some serious fury a second later. Nonito's problem is that Vetyeka is no blown up, past prime Flyweight. He is a full sized Featherweight with real boxing ability and good pop. We have became accustomed to seeing Donaire smash up undersized opponents and looking good doing so. I feel h has crossed the threshold of how far he can go with his current style. I guess we'll find out in this fight.
I want to know why the WBA aren't forcing the Walters match seeing as they wouldn't let Shimoda fight Vetyeka.
This is the toughest and most dangerous fight for Donito Nonaire. He fights the best IMO.When you fight the best **** happens!!
Where do you have this fight from? The Arroyos have been moved pretty slowly and both haven't fought in quite a while. I would be surprised if McJoe was thrown in against Viloria after such a long pause.
Multiple boxing journos on Twitter have been murmuring about it all month. :conf I don't think it has been signed but the grapevine has them meeting on March 29th, which gives Viloria just five weeks to briefly rest and start prepping for his co-headlining spot in Macao.
That shot midget was one of the p4p bangers. Punchers lose their power last and Vic was fighting a very conservative and defensive fight, which is not the way he usually fights. Nonito was being forced to start the exchanges which doesn't suit him. V12 will come at Donaire and although he has longer reach and better defence than Vic, making the fight does suit Donaire who will counter and land hurtful punches. I don't know who will win, but the Vic fight showed to me that Nonito has heart, balls and chin.
Yep, vicious shot by VIC and Donaire took it. Same Shot Sonsona landed on Shimoda. The difference is Sonsona hits harder than Darchinyan and Donaire has a better chin than Shimoda. YEP, again this is a legit test. I think Donaire was beating on midgets vetyeka is no midget he's extremely well schooled. But he has only beaten up Johns and Yordan. But Donaire might be joining that list as well. Donaire needs to work on D and counters and work rate or else. I'm favoring the African to be honest.
Agreed on most points but just John and Yordan? Them boys ain't no joke. Donaire is in for a life and death type night.
