Don't think so. They are both Top Rank so Arum's probably not evebn negotiating. Nothing to do with the fighters. In fact, if I was Mares, I'd try and get a move to Top Rank after the Moreno fight as he has Nishioka, Donaire, Rigondeaux, Montiel, JuanMa Lopez, Mikey Garcia and Salidio as dance partners then.

People are oblivious to his achievements in lower weight classes.

Nonito better in every dept and power about the same maybe even that edge to Nonito as well. Its going to look similar to Donaire-Darchinyan, only because Nishioka is naturally bigger it might take acouple more shots to drop or stop him. Donaire by UD or late Tko. This win will put Nonito in the spotlight again. Does better vs aggressive, come forward fighters.

I wanna see Donaire take a Japanese Power and let's see how he handles it. Hope Donaire get tested with a bit of

adversity. This will really make him fight let's see if he is indeed ATG quality like Manny.

Nishi has a great punching power, no doubt about that, that he can trouble Donaire, specially when fighing in his home country. but Doni also have great power behind that left hook that made him famous. both has good movements, and agility, but imo donaire's youth but lack of good defense would play a role.

I see it as a close UD, a toss up. But a possibility on a Donaire TKO would be there.

lol Toshiaki easily. He's too big, strong and skillful. Ofcourse hes going to get clipped constantly but come the 9th round. I am banking that Donaire will get stopped on his feet :)

Surprised that people think Nishioka is a come forward fighter. Check out his matches against Munroe and Sahaprom. Plenty of good movement and boxing skills exhibited there.
I see this fight going one of two ways, either Donaire batters him early or he gets frustrated by the skilled Japanese and it ends up looking like a more competitive version of Naz-Barrera. I just don't like the way ND's been loading up with his punches rcently and a vastly experienced old pro like TD will surely have noticed that. A close ud for Nishioka is my pick.
