I think that Darchinyan will do much better than most fans think. If Donaire fights like he did in the Rigo fight he will lose. I give Darchinyan a chance because he has wanted this fight for years. He will be extremely motivated and that can be dangerous for Donaire. I think Donaire will win, but it's sure not a sure thing.

It was because Rigondeaux was on his bicycle that whole fight. When they exchanged, everybody saw Donaire drop Rigo.

Did you think Maravilla was "on his bicycle" all night with Junior?

...because they followed basically the same exact script, right down to the late knockdown on which the boxer getting otherwise comprehensively dominated and clowned failed to capitalize.

Rigo was off balance and expected a break from the refs. Donaire got one lucky punch all fight. Rigo peppered Donaire's eye and we saw real running from Nonito in the 12th. Nonito ran like a dog with his tails between his legs.

Yeah Darchinyan still has lots of talent and would beat most other guys at 126. The revenge factor is also something that is a wildcard in this one, how bad does Darchinyan want revenge?

Martinez didn't run, he just moved side to side and also threw lots of punches. Rigondeaux literally ran and didn't throw punches until Donaire would.

So is this fight at 122 or 126? I'd prefer it at 122

It's at 126, Donaire was weight drained at 122 and could no longer make that weight to satisfy his opponents.

Can't say I agree with the latter part of your statement. I mean Donaire started at 112, was the A side to the Rigondeaux fight (he could have demanded a featherweight limit). He entered the ring at that weight, then he's got not excuses!

I was pretty should this fight would be at feather but boxrec has it as a super-bantam fight?!

The Donaire-Darchinyan fight? It's going to be at 126, not 122.

I guess Vic will come right at him. Good for Donaire to come back with a (KO) win, less good because this fight will be less about Donaire improving his boxing skills and re-learning how to let his punching go and box instead of looking for the one big shot.
