I slightly favor the Flippo Flash in that one. Donaire is on the "good" side of the draw, but I can't see him win the tourney though.
He did perform better than expected. I had him winning 1 and 3. He was also outjabbing and outworking burnett in the 4th up until he injury.
https://i.imgur.com/BniE7p6.gif Guys check this out wrong thread i know but it might shed some light as to what started it. Some youtubers were saying that donaire fired a hook to the body of burnett and from there the building was just waiting to collapse.
Donaire is just a haymaker throwing stalker now. He might beat tete just because he has that power but he’ll get crushed in the finals vs inoue. He wouldn’t have come close to losing to Frampton in his prime, looked so old in the fight. I don’t know who’s worse for wear, Pac or Donaire, at least Pac still have moments of brilliance now and again, Donaire is just gone.
Donaire was getting hit far too easily. Part of that was Burnett's speed but also Donaire's defense or lack there of and style's makes fights. A counter puncher in Donaire had to press Burnett. Donaire is actually having to force the action. Which he is not good at but is getting better at it though but it's definitely not his style. This is what happened in Magdaleno fight where the counter puncher was being forced to be the aggressor. Which Donaire has actually taken on board. I think i saw something in the Burnett fight that had me convince that he has accepted that they wont come at him so he has to go at them.
That's what happens when you get older. I know me Donaire are the same age. When you're in your 20's homie you could do a lot of athletic feats but soon as you hit 30 plus forget about it.
Tell Floyd and Pac that. They arguably did their best work after 30. I get what you're saying though, I was thinking of getting back into boxing and having a few fights, but my feet feel heavier, arms slower, and don't have the same angst to hit people. Just a couple of years younger than Donaire too. Most footballers/soccer players are long gone after 30. Fck knows how guys like Bhop did it at 45.
"a very average fighter" ...ryan Burnett is world class. That was world class boxing you were watching. Don't you realize that ?
LMAO, get out of here with world class. Everyone ready to **** on Broner, but p4p Broner would be way higher on the list than Burnett. P4P Broner would stomp Burnett. Yet Broner sucks, Burnett is world class. He's domestic class, and now and again they break out into the world scene. Froch is world class. Groves. Hatton. Eubanks and Benns etc. Burnett is average, C class fighter.
I want Donaire vs Inoue so I hope and expect him to beat Tete who is underrated IMO but a good match up for Donaire.
I dont agree with that. Tete is southpaw, and I dont think that nonito is good at handling southpaws. His arsenal (with this wonderful left cross) is better vs orthodox fighters. I dont think nonito will enjoy any of those two fights, nor tete's, nor inoue's. They both will be a living hell for nonito I guess, no matter if he wins or loses (I think he will lose )
Sheltered titlists who faced all scrubs (Burnett) aren't built for that type of heat. That was a wicked body shot. Seeing as Burnett already ducked Tete and Rodriguez, it's not surprising that he feigned injury when Donaire started landing power shots.
