Pac gets the bigger accolades because of his achievements. Donaire is scarcely in the limelight lately. But in time when he is given the chance to shine, Donaire will endear himself to the Pinoy fans. He's Pac's heir apparent aside from Abe Concepcion, IMO.

Machida is the truth and Jon Jones looked amazing even though it was against a limited bonnar. He does need to work on his stamina or in the way of preserving because he got gassed by round 2!

It's a shame that the Montiel fight isn't on anymore, because if Nonito were to win that one, then everything would be set up for a rematch with Vic with everything at 115 on the line. The winner of that second fight would be easily in the Top 10 P4P...I would even say in the Top 6-7 range.

And out of the Pinoy prospects, I was never high on Boom Boom, but I was high on Banal, who I feel was rushed into a title fight.

Concepcion, even if he doesn't win against Luevano, has a very bright future. He's the best of the Filipino contenders today. He will have at least one or two belts before he's done.

The Phillipines has a great tradition in boxing for a long long time, Flash Elorde at the top with combination of skills and power put an accent to Filipino boxing with the world....as a boxer and as a man, and Pacho Villa put them on the world boxing map, the first Filipino champ, gret puncher.....and Manny Pacquiao is an extension of that tradition..and Donaire in a way more than Pacquiao exemplified what Filipino boxing being thru the years, a set of highly skillful boxer, vut from the cloth of Flash Elorde......

At this point my top 3 Filipoino boxers of all time:

    1. Flash Elorde

    2. Pancho Villa

    3. Manny Pacquiao-but climbing fast...

It's about their styles. Just like how Mexico embraces Barerra/Morales (Pac) and Marquez(Donaire) fighting styles.
Donaire's time will come just like JMM when MAB and EM were already out of the picture.

    Sad but true.
